    @@bakaatayeah 700 is still actually very solid. And while I personally wouldn’t got his route because upgrades are limited down the road with not being on AM5+ it still provides pretty solid upgrade paths with very minimal effort. Can get a 5800x3d down the road. And upgrade the graphics card to whatever you please like a bang for buck option such as a 6700 or 6800XT or a 4070 or 4080 or wait for the 5000 series NVIDIA cards. On top of that adding more or faster storage and realistically you’re not going to need more than 32 GB of RAM unless you’re doing heavy video editing.

    @srobeck77

    8 ай бұрын

    I advice not to go Micro. It will take alot more time to find tiny parts, you might pay more in some cases, you always will have less cooling, you may be sacrificing performance, and last its just damn frustrating trying to shoe horn in all those parts only to find that 1 or 2 wont fit no matter which angle you try to shoe horn it in.

  • @rgracon

    @rgracon

    8 ай бұрын

    @@srobeck77 thanks for the suggestion. I have experience with mini itx, and plan to use fairly low power parts, so space and cooling are definitely considerations, but I'm not too scared of them. Sadly, the largest factor in the decision was the sparkly, pink, unicorn puke case. I know that's not the right focal point for a build, but that's what she wants, so we're going with it. Wish me luck!!

  • @ulmwurttemberg1682

    @ulmwurttemberg1682

    4 ай бұрын

    @@srobeck77that's borderline misinformation. Many websites help with part selection so there isn't a greater time expenditure though there is less selection. Paying more? Probably, but that also depends on what parts you choose. Less cooling? Sure, but that doesn't mean insufficient cooling. Sacrificing performance? No. Just no. Frustrating? When you don't plan. And, ok, a bit even when you do. I'm running a DAN A4 H2O.

    Lovely little build man! I like the aesthetic of the RGB memory and GPU just cutting a bit through the mesh grill side. Seeing you make a late AM4 build is somewhat haunting.. I'm thinking that I many need to upgrade in the next year or two in some way, shape or form, and seem to be suffering a bit of push and pull between late AM4 and crossing the bridge to AM5.. mainly down to cost.

Also I have two bottom 120mm fans as intake an two top ones as exhaust (top panel also comes off) . There is space for two 140mm fans in top and bottom. Also, the left and right side panels are the same size and interchangeable, so if one opts for a glass panel model like I have, it is possible to switch right and left side with mesh panel as you like. Really nice mAtx case.

    Glad I’m not the only one who chose an Arc card. Love it so far.

    I like that case but not a fan of the power supply placement in the front. Just feels weird.

    Anyone know how a game like ark ascendant would run on this, and how well it would work for playing pc games on the quest 3

    Hey Paul, I have an amateur question for you. I was gifted a Corsair iCUE 5000X RGB case. I am following your $700 build guide on this video but I have a different case. Will all the parts still fit in the case that was given to me? Thx a ton.

    Out of curiosity, why would they mount the PSU on the front?

    Is that motherboard VRM enough for 5800X3D? The cooling also seems really basic.

    Yep for RAM RGB that's the best way to go, I hear syncing it can be troublesome, imo save a few quid and go non-rgb for ram unless it's the only rgb you got, then it's pure class👌

    Was this case made for Asus by Jonsbo? It is very similar to their D41 /D31 cases (minus the screen). I have the D41 with the glass side panel and agree that the cable management is tricky. Just curious if this was a rebrand. Either way, Great video!

    Should I buy this desktop or a laptop ? Laptop prices are pretty great and they got a monitor keyboard mouse included so I can spend a little more on them and the latest gen cpu and ram instead of last gen

    The subdued lighting is somewhat reminiscent of old radios with their vacuum tube glow. I think that's the next design trick, simulated vacuum tube glow behind a grill. Maybe even use tubes for an audio section, sell it to hipsters.

    G'day Paul & Joe, Totally agree with M-ATX when you are trying to build at the lowest price for a gaming only PC because at most you will only need PCIe X16 + maybe PCIe X1 if you need WiFi & the mobo doesn't come with one like the one you chose. I really don't understand spending extra for PCIe that will not be used & extra on a case to house those extra PCIe when you can use that money for either a better GPU or increased storage for games.

    What's the deal with those blue PSU connectors? I don't remember those connectors having any sort of color coding. Is that some new standard, or just a silverstone thing?
