This was nice to watch like usual. One my absolutely favourite channels on KZread
You are very pleasing to follow Brent from down under
Great job on the model. The Albatross D.V is one of the most aesthetically pleasing aircraft ever made IMHO. I don't like the yellow color, however. I feel the fuselage should be bare wood with variations from one panel to the next. Thanks for sharing your techniques, esp. the rigging. I have never even attempted to do the rigging myself.
Beautiful, good work.
Modeling by Andy is an art form. Terrific build.

Superbly done!
Great video! Beautiful model. You’re easy to follow, with no BS’ing, keeping right to the point. I’m psyched to build my next model!
For many years I've wanted to build a ww1 fighter. Ideally one of richthofen's earlier bi planes. After seeing this video, I was hooked. I had to order one. Can't wait for it to arrive. Thanks for sharing Andy!
Fabulous review and build, and a top tip from and thanks to Mrs Andy on the rigging cable/thread. I think the paint scheme was bold of you and absolutely right, it shows the aircraft off much better than just one colour. We'll done you.
One of your best models! Such a beauty. Thank you for sharing your work!
Nice build. Nice kit.
Perfect job. It’s a piece of art.
That is one pretty Albatros. I'm not an airplane guy, but seeing builds like that can sure convince me to go get one.
Wow! You just have golden hands!! 5+ Super! 5+ 👍👍👍
Hi Andy, I would just like to say that you have done a fantastic job of the Albatros D.V, its nice to see you do something slightly different. Again a great job done by a modelling expert. Cheers. Les
This is your best aircraft build. A masterpiece of skillful simplicity!
Excellent build, Andy! I’m looking forward to any possible future aircraft builds!
It's nice to see you finally get around to building one of these kits! I hope you build more in the future.
Inspiring!. I haven't built an aircraft since 1979, but this video is making me reconsider a lost art. Nicely done
Very nice, what I really like you are careful with the weathering and the wash, some really goes over the top with that but you’ve done a really god job.
Just a stunning model. I was skeptical of the color scheme but that really turned out wonderful. The rigging line was a stroke if genius ax well. Just a very clean model, something that any modeler would be extremely proud to display.

I agree... the rear fuselage would have been varnished wood if I'm not mistaken... not yellow.

Wayne Coulter Yes...the thing is nobody really knows for sure, and back then conditions, colors, an added scheme or two, could change on a daily basis. Very little if any unit standards.

@@waynecoulter6761 agreed, don't know why wingnuts suggested that color. It was a bit straw-ish colored, if cleared and not stained first, but that is way too yellow, IMHO. Good example of the need for your own research, even on a kit. Since I scratch most of mine, it's (the research) a major part of the build.

Wayne Coulter WNW does a real thorough job with their research, also with the colors. The picture(s) of the real airplane clearly show a different color on the rear of this airplane, compared to other Albatrosses with a natural varnished wood rear. I have the same model kit and there are some photos at the end of the instructions going with the particular paint schemes.
In an earlier life, I was an enthusiastic modeller of ww2 aircraft. I am now afflicted by a condition which make my hands shake uncontrollably and I need to use a spoon to Eat. But how I wish that I was capable of building this model. My since congratulations to the builder! F S
I gotta do that. Beautiful build!
Congratulations from Brazil...amazing work!!! I Love the scale model!!!
faboulus bild, result is stunning, please built more of these in the future!
Beautiful build of a beautiful kit. Thanks for sharing.
Amazing! Just amazing! Terrific work! I had begun wondering where you went! Well I see now what took so long between videos! Thanks for sharing this beautiful piece!
Excellent looking kit, another fantastic build 👍 Thanks!
Andy, WOW!! REALLY LOOKED AMAZING!! Honestly Andy you kill it on your builds.👏👏👏👏👍👍🤙
WAUW!!! Just a beautiful job you made again.
A beautifully thought out and engineered kit. Down side is the price tag, but ultimately worth it. Great build Andy.
Nice build ,Andy! Great video!
Really beautiful. Love the paint scheme. Good choice and wonderful job.

Super job and video!
Beautiful job Andy, great choice of colour scheme 👍🏻🇦🇺
That's incredible... Well done!
The best period for planes imho, terrific job!
Wow Andy! That a fun build to watch. Glad I’m not alone when it comes to rigging. I guess a lot of modelers have that one WWI airplane sitting in their stash. Be awhile until I build again, as I’m moving....closer to Andy’s Hobby Headquarters! See you in the near future.
Looks great! I can't wait to do MY bi-plane. I'l be sure to use the elastic thread.
gorgeous model. The Albatros is the most beautiful of the WW1 fighters.
Excellent job Andy, really enjoyed this build.
Great job as usual, well done it looks stunning.
WW1, awesome planes, wind and oil in your face, got to luv it!

@@henrikhilskov worse, some fuel tanks were in the cockpit and seats were on top of them, especially in German 2-seater reconnaissance planes of WW1. Not an ideal situation!
Amazing work Andy. Always love your videos.
Finally an aircraft build 😁 Thank you for the excellent video.
Outstanding build Andy, I really enjoyed the video! Keep up the great work, Bob
Great job Andy. I’m a huge Wingnut Wings fan. I’ve completed two kits but I have this one and about 20 others on the shelf...screw the kids inheritance! 😆
Sweeeeeet! You must have the patience of a saint, for all that rigging. Would love to see the tri wing being built
Hey Andy, greetings from South Africa, that was amazing. Thanks for sharing
Oh man didn’t realize that the plane were those colors. Always thought it was all red. Superb build as always. Now if we could get a figure of the Red Baron and put him in the cockpit where he belongs we’d really be set
more MORE planes please! Fantastic kit, build, advice and video. 5 stars plus.
That's a gorgeous looking Albatross Andy and fantastic looking vibrant colours as well. Although possibly slightly overscale, the thread you have used looks excellent and ideal for those of us who don't have sharp eyesight anymore that's required for lighter threads. I too have avoided WW1 aircraft due to the issues with rigging but after seeing this I am definitely tempted to build one now. Awesome work mate!
This is just way past cool, great work! The engine looks awesome. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to more from you!
Awesome Build Andy, thanks for sharing, God Bless All
wooow amazing work Andy! This is totally museum quality! Wonderful subject matter- you don't see a lot of WWI aircraft kits. Wingnut has just really outdone themselves in terms of detail and quality, the engine alone could be it's own kit! Thanks for the tip about the elastic thread, This will definately make it a lot easier for anyone wanting to tackle a classic warbird like this! :)
just lovely work Andy
That’s awesome Andy... ! I’m ordering one tomorrow!
Looks awesome to me much better than I could do and the rigging looks great to me as well, I would be proud to display that in my house if I had built it..
I really like your color choice, the stock engine detail is outstanding and at 1/32 it screams even more wiring and superdetailing, I've got one in the stash and I hope to build mine very soon. The preorder limited version has a really nice Richthofen resin figure included with the kit. I look forward to watching your next project. Cheers.
Absolutely spectacular job on this beautiful model....I hope to get this kit as well. I really love the WWI aircraft. Kudos, well done!
Great build mate
Great seeing some variation on the channel!!
Best build yet Andy.
A really great build Andy. I've built several WW1 planes back when I was a kid. The Spad XIII, the camel and triplane. Rigged em all. Now I doubt my eyes would allow me to do that. Lol. Great job.
Hey Andy, I really like the video and great job on the build. The rigging looks great and good job on mixing the yellow paint for the fuselage, that looks really nice. Thanks and I'll see you soon. Joe!!
Awesome build Andy! Haven't built a scale model airplane yet but this video is making me want to give one a try.
Wonderful work Andy
Beautiful job!
Beautiful model!
an amazing kit, and you did a wonderful job of it! Top Work :D
Bel lavoro , complimenti 👍👍👍👍👍
Very helpful Andy. Thank you.
Andy great work! Love it.
Great job, Andy. I love the build and the subject. More WWI !! Thanks.
Como siempre Andy ...siempre con agradables sorpresas...excelente trabajo ....
Wow, that turned out really great
Another top build mate, well done, can't wait to build mine.
A fantastic job keep it up Andy
Great build. Last time i did a WWI plane was in the '60's it was a Revell SPAD and a Fokker Tri wing. These Wing Nut kits look great I might have to build one.
WERY well done video! All important views are focused! Thank You! Albatros also very nice)
One helluva model...one helluva modeller!!
Hello Andy I have been on the fence about the wingnuts kits your video was great ! I have watch most of your armour build such as the Academy M3 Lee and the tiger very helpful keep up the good work thanks for all your time. and effort !!! see ya round the web Have a great Day Bruce
Saludos desde Hermosillo Sonora México gran video.
Amazing build
Beautiful job
Great video
Excellent work. Awesome kits. No a plane builder, but I want to do one of these.
A nice build Andy. I've built 3 planes by WNW a Pfalz D.XII, A Fokker D.VII and a Roland C.II and thoroughly enjoyed them. They are great kits.
Terrific build.
Lovely work. I've always wanted to build a Wingnuts kit, but it's the rigging that gives me The Fear.
Superb really enjoyed it
Very nice build :)
In a word; inspirational.
A really nice build. I really enjoy these WW I airmachines...Right now I', building my first Albatros D.II in 1:72 scale from Roden...I met some difficulties and really don't appreciate the manual so I decided that I will build another one in a bigger scale next time...I love those Albatrosses. And as a fan of von Richthofen, every model he flew must be a fun one to build. But you can't argue on it...The Fokker Dr.1 says it all...!!!
Great build!
Once more, a great great job!!! You can build a Spad XIII of the French Air Force! Thx a lot for your wonderfull video!
Beautiful!
Defiantly a different build, Quite entertaining . When I was notified that you had a video on an it was a WW1 aircraft I wasn't sure I'd be interested. But I really enjoyed it . I was hoping you would have built the one with the 3 colored fuselage but it was nice to see a build with different colors
