Building Off Grid - DREAMY Outdoor Kitchen - No Walls

Ойын-сауық

Another building project on the off grid homestead - a roof for our dreamy outdoor kitchen. No problem, except that I don't want any walls or posts, and I want it to be clear, and I want it to retract!

Can't believe you didn't make the roof covering by weaving spider webs or chewing leather until it became translucent...Lose 2 points from your sel-sufficient/off-grid rating score. 🤭 It's always a pleasure to see your pleasure in your projects, and to see the family pitching in, as ever. Still my fave channel.

Its amazing how fast the kids grow up. I worked on a cattle ranch up the Blackwater road in my younger days. When my wife and I went there their daughters were just kids. We were there 3 years left for 2 years and went back for another 3 years. In that time those girls had grown up, one was getting married and the other was going off to higher education. Its been the same watching your channel. Your girls were pretty young and pretty much have become young ladies doing all kinds of great things in this big world. Any father would be so proud of them as we can see you are. Oh and your roof is pretty cool too. Lol😂.

Can you add a metal deflector above the pizza oven chimney to deflect the firing heat into a broader area, reducing heat stress on plastic directly above? Alternative, create an umbrella using metal foil below the plastic that is directly above the hot exhaust. Have you added a rain collection container below the lowest roof corner? You need to plant a variety of cold hardy bamboo to provide lightweight, strong building materials to replace your roof beams. Possibilities... Wishing you and your family a blessed week filled with gentle rains, seasonally appropriate weather and restful evenings together. Peace

Have you considered maybe making a 1 inch metal welded square tubing (14 gauge peimed) that you could hook onto with the Kubota forks to raise and lower on corner posts with let-in pegs to hold it in place? That's my suggestion. Man oh man. You have a beautiful family. If I were 60 years younger I would most definitely be asking your permission to court your girls.

Do you understand the verse you quoted? Do you think it’s truely describing a sewing needle? It’s not. Synagogues and churches front doors architectural design were wide at the bottom, and pointy at the top. Usually very large double doors.. it’s called a needle. There would also be a standard sized door for easy access for people… this is the eye of the needle. A camel would have to remove his burden and crawl on his knees to enter the eye..
