    the great sealant massacre has got to be one of the funniest moments too, the tire explosion sounds like a bomb going off. There's some trails by my Grandparents house so when I was little (like 8) I'd ride them on their dollar store bikes they got for us. I needed some air in my tire so my grandpa put some air in my tire and as I was biking up the road to the trail head my tire blew up because he put to much air in my tire so I know first hand how Seth felt during that time.

    Man. I have casually passed your channel in the past, but lately I've been really hooked. I'm the same age as you, and I spent most of my first 20some years on the planet strapped to a mtb. My last good dirt bike was a 2000 GF Piranha; hardtail, no forks, no nothing. Rode it until I cracked the rear stays at the crank. Lots of big drops and way too many hard miles. Picked up a street cruiser for commuting and up until I had my kids, I was still putting a few thousand km a summer on my bike. I've been itching to get back on dirt, and this channel is(n't) helping. Love the content, and the delivery. You're reigniting my passion.

    Although some might object on aesthetic grounds... I like the blue pedals. First, black would just be TOO matchy-matchy. I also think it adds a touch of personality. But on the utility side of things... it makes sense for the pedals to be bright and contrast with other colors in use. When the ground is moving by pretty fast or you’re in the air and the landing is coming but your feet are off the pedals it is easier to find your footing with your peripheral vision or with just a quick glance.

    Skräcken Really? I feel air would be more plush than coil and the more fine tuning you can do with an air fork

  • @Skracken

    @Skracken

    5 жыл бұрын

    I've heard said many times that air springs have "stiction", meaning they need a little more force to start moving, while coil springs don't have this. Air springs are popular because they are lighter and much easier to adjust.

  • @mosiowaty1573

    @mosiowaty1573

    5 жыл бұрын

    That would sound reasonable, because air forks have like an additional piston to substitute spring. And additional piston means additional friction. BUT. Air fork has progression, meaning you can give it slightly more SAG (thus plushness) without the risk of bottoming out.

  • @mosiowaty1573

    @mosiowaty1573

    5 жыл бұрын

    Oh, but both have stiction (coming from dustcaps), but air fork would have additional stiction from air spring, which is basically a piston filled with air.

I know, you're an adult, but I can't tell you how many frames I've seen seriously *insert expletives* up. This is a seriously gorgeous build, I'm super curious about the Box components and I really love the way the brakes come with all the things you need to shorten the housing!! Don’t be a friggin wuss. Never ever is a little to harsh. If you clamp it lightly and are not using gorilla type force on it, I dont see a problem. If you’re aware of the delicacy of the operation and are confident that you can prevent disaster then gopher it. But defiantly keep seat tube clamping to a minimum.
