As an idea to help motivate them (and a cool video idea): You could use an Arduino mounted on the back wooden post that tracks the number of rotations that the running wheel makes, then have code that randomly chooses a number of turns before it triggers the release of a treat. E.g. To start, you could have the Arduino randomly choose a number between 1-10 (let's say it chooses 5), then after 5 rotations of the wheel it sends a signal to a treat dispenser to release a goldfish snack. After releasing the snack, the code in the Arduino generates a new random number between 1-10. Over time you can increase the random number range to 1-20 or even 1-30 so that they have to do more work until they get a treat.

Buy a mallot, return your expensive rotary saw and buy a cheap jigsaw. Dont forget, you have work horses dont have to work on the floor. When using a jigsaw you dont have to come in from the side. Drill a hole and insert your blade through it

Thanks! Haha its a start! The only one that uses it is Cheeto. If piper gets a really good treat she will run and sit in the wheel to eat it. Then she gets out lol.

I came straight from the video where you were feeding Piper chips and thought she just got fat when I saw your OTHER RACCOON(!?). This is now a pipe dream I have and I am so jealous.

Way too heavy and builds up a massive amount of rotational force. The moment of inertia is too wide, which is why the wheel wobbles and does not feel good for them to walk on. Would have been better to just get a OneFastCat wheel. Much lighter and safer and the moment force is not centrally pivoting.
