I grew up in the Brainerd Lakes Area (now reside in Idaho) so I love watching all of the Minnesota guys' channels to live vicariously though them. Your channel is definitely my favorite.

I run that same nanook thermal XL Shack is the bomb. Perfect size and weight, pulls like a 1 person, sits like a 2 person. Ive only had it about a year now and I can say the 10hrs of research/debate was well worth it because I selected the RIGHT kit.

That's almost exactly what I was looking to do with a sled, too. I've been running a Bigfoot hub, but that is challenging by myself to lug around. I'd like to be ready to solo ice camp, fish solo, or have two of us fishing. The things I'd like to see differently is a white basin in the sled to be able to see things easier and maybe have more cushion for the backside. Thanks for the video. lol my first shack was in the 90s it was a rectangle “3man” tent 😂😂 the snow would fill in the shanty as you were dragging it, It had 3” thick wood planks for skis. And the material was pretty much a harbor freight like tarp. lol how far we have come! Now I have a permanent shack on the lake and this as well as an 8 man pop shanty for camping! But even with that first shanty in the 90s being out of the elements made all the difference in the world only heat source needed was a lantern and a bottle of Blackberry Brandy lol

I bought this shack this week. When I set it up it seems very flimsy. It literally tipped forward in my garage because I had no weight in the sled. It definitely needs the support poll kit which is sold separately. Not what I have come to expect from Clam.

I'm going to basically do your camping setup but just try it with my 1 Man Clam Legend XL thermal ice team edition. Will only have about 18 inches of room to fish with the cot set up which will be a little tight but that's only for the night time when I have a rattle wheel down while sleeping. If it works it will be game changing! Keep up the great content Sobi!

That'd be awesome to catch walleye through the ice I have never done it I've caught crappie and bluegill and catfish and perch but never a walleye I was in an accident in 2019 it is hard for me to get on the ice anymore I got out the first time last year and caught a monster Gill and that's all I needed I was hooked again I hope I can do it again this year and get out more but I hurt too bad too do it all the time it's hard for me to walk good luck on this ice season love your channel keep up the great work

Kick your feet to the side of one seat and keep them off the ice and into the tub! Keep another layer between your feet and the ice and have more room for another hole too

The seat post hole pattern is same dimension as a boat seat. I bought a cheap nock off mellinium and roll with one seat. I did install a hitch reciever so I can haul the xtra gear for camping in a separate sled. 37 hour stay 13miles out on Saginaw is just like home
