Watching replay. Wow, what an enlightening video! I found it incredibly helpful in understanding strategies for building multiplication fact fluency in 4th and 5th graders. The techniques showcased are not only practical but also seem engaging for students. Can't wait to implement some of these ideas in my own classroom. Thanks for sharing such valuable content!

Having students show their work as opposed to just writing the answer helps them develop skills that allow them to assess their answer correctly.

I really like that you pointed out that we shouldn’t make students think their answer is right or wrong. Its a good idea to let them explain why they got a certain answer.

What I learned from this video was that it’s a good idea to let children explain why they got a certain answer instead of pointing out if it’s right or wrong.

This has many great teaching strategies. I have learned to having students explain their answer and how they got it will help them find their own errors. Visual strategies will most likely be your best strategy when it comes to fractions.

I'm neither a student nor a teacher of any type. I came to this video because I find it disheartening that kids are no longer required to memorize timetables. Although I have no kids, I'm advocating for kids by telling you that schools need to bring up memorizing As a person with a disability, my mother went over flash cards, so when I was in third grade, I was able to beat the best student in my class playing Around The World. Since I was born with a processing problem, memorizing times tables made it easier. So if your kids have issues, buy them flash cards. Play Around The World. What's Around The World? A random student goes against another student, whoever gets the multiplication table first goes to the next student. Whoever answers it second, takes a seat.
