I was thinking the same... better support for the ceiling boards to sit on top of the support boards. Could just add it on top as well. Very nice for the idea

Great. Step 1. Find a deep square hole in the ground. Step 2. Always bring a ton of nails and a measuring tape along into the woods. They are weightless and easy to carry around. Step 3. A real bushcrafter never leaves his or her house without a couple of truckloads of 2 by 4s.

I have been wondering about this with these videos, but is the hit you build only allowed to be there for a certain time? You seem to use the same plot of land over and over. Either way you do fantastic work. Thank you for sharing these videos!

This is hilarious.. obviously there's a team making the hard work.. Anyway the walls and floor are not isolated so that will easily become a pool when it rains.. And that roof it's so fragile it will not stand anyone above.. 😂

There are always major flaws in these building. Most will flood and collapse. But it’s soothing to watch her work.

Amazing work. One thing I would have done differently is to put the wood planks on top of the logs on the roof and not below. Also a slight angle to the roof would help it shed water. But nonetheless you are amazing and keep up the good work! 🫡

That’s a nice grill, this girl either knows what she’s doing by watching someone else do it or from books but these houses are great for out in the woods! This must be like the Vietnam cong did in Vietnam? Great ideas! She just needs a ferang! At least nobody knows your even there if she camouflaged it on top!

I have unfinished well. I put a tarp on it during rainy season. Surprisingly the well filled totally with rain water. I think this underground shelter will have the same fate.

Thought this video was about a build… and not about a transport.

Don't know who dug the pit. Who hauled in the bundles of precut lumber. Who helped her build it. But...I'm sure this was fun to spend the night in and this girl does work hard. It's a pit inside a pit and covered with plastic. When it rains, the top pit will fill-up and then go under the plastic and behind the walls. The bottom will fill-up like a swimming pool. Oh well, we watched it anyway.

The root is not stable. The sides and the stairs will not repel water. One monsoon and this place is flooded. It cold be fixed by putting oversized logs solidly across the top and using all of that dirt to make a mound over the top.

Only downside is that you cannot stand on the roof so if someone stands on it they will fall through, making it rather dangerous, especially when its not occupied. Otherwise fantastic job

What about making a vent to come down and inside the sides so it doesnt get so hot? I would say bring a swamp cooler in but you need power then and it will warp the wood.

I'd prefer a dome, arch, or even just an a frame. All three are more collapse resistant than a flat roof.
