Building Bumblebee the REAL TRANSFORMER #5 | James Bruton
Ғылым және технология
Paramount asked me to build a real transformer that turns from a life-sized car into #Bumblebee. Check it out all together and operational in this video when we surprise the actual public who came to the garage!

No MacArthur grant yet. But while I’m still waiting by the phone for that call, maybe you want to get in touch, ask a question about a recent project, or look around for some code or hardware details.

② XROBOTS
Former toy designer, current KZread maker and general robotics, electrical and mechanical engineer, I’m a fan of doing it yourself and innovation by trial and error. My channel is where I share some of my useful and not-so-useful inventions, designs and maker advice. Iron Man is my go-to cosplay, and 3D printing can solve most issues - broken bolts, missing parts, world hunger, you name it.
XRobots is the community around my content where you can get in touch, share tips and advice, and more build FAQs, schematics and designs are also available.

Very well done! Especially considering limited time, limited budget, 1 prop maker, 1 engineer, zero CGI, and it does transform!

Yeah my wallets a better transformer, completely green, no cgi, no engineer, no prop maker, just a guy named Bill.
The amount of work that went into this is just staggering. Well done to you both!

I think that cameras don't do justice to this robot. Seeing it in person should be a way different experience than seeing it on a video.

What an amazing stunt. Great work guys
While I don't have much interest in the advertisement aspect of this, really good on the two of you for being able to get the attention of a company and being hired to do something like this. It must be a pretty proud moment to think your work is appreciated enough that Paramount would hire you for this.
Get this guy a job in Hollywood
Well done!! I was a bit worried this series might end on the last video, but this was a really good finale! Must have been pretty satisfying watching people's reactions after all that hard work
imagine how far this tech could go if people with more money, resources, and time actually took interest in it.
those little kids will remember that forever
In a just world, this would have millions upon millions of views.
Amazing job! The robot cost you quite a time and money, but people's faces seeing the robot is priceless. Well done! Thanks for sharing!
Very nice build.. im amazed by your project. Keep build and good luck. Shes preety and very beautiful...
So AMAZING

@@paulb4334 I just hope that he gets back to more serious work. I subscribed to a robotics channel and I do not consider this robotics. It makes me wonder if James is having trouble getting OpenDog walking.

Omg I wpuld cry of excitement💛🥰
You guys are brilliant! Very glad I found your channel!
Fantastic! Well done both of you!Matthew
Awesome!
That's nice, I bet the kids loved that :)
Pretty cool. Seeing those reactions was something special. :)
That was amazing, you probably lightened up the day for lots of people
wow NICE.
This is so cool! You’re an absolute genius. And I love that you surprised random people with it! Brilliant video as usual!
I love it
You should consider building Atom from the movie "Real Steel" or one of the robots from the movie
As far as i remember bumblebee was able to walk and kick asses. This one barely stands up 😁 good work though 👍
great job. very cool performance.
this is one hell of proof that reality is really hurt.
Well done, folks!

Now that was pretty priceless lol!!
Great fun for everyone !
This is amazing great work guys
Is robomaking an art that anybody can learn with practice or this is god gifted ability??
Impresionante I like it

So cool!!!! A pleasand surprise for sure!!!
Brilliant! I'm grinning so much my eyes are leaking slightly... :)
Sick
Awesome is an overused word but, in this case, it's fully appropriate!
WOW!!!
This is really a great video to conclude the build. Love to see all those reactions and nicely edited with shots of the robot. So that said, are you gonna be a couple or what now? You two make a great team in constructing amazing robots and I am sure you inspire each other to more :)

Thats awesome transformer i use to watch transformers as a kid bumblebee was one of my favorite transformers.i know theorical physics so i can already imagine what its like to make my own after all Einstein was also a theorical physicist and he said himself that imagination is more important than knowledge.
The arms are a little small but it is still awesome
I love it!!!
get this trending
you have so much technoligy i love bumblebee #bumblebee
Well done all involved.. 49 dislikes.... Why? oh yes it's the internet.
Yes. We're getting closer to real life cybertronian technology.
This is freakin awesome
But if I could give you some advice, if you can, try and make a system that lets the front part of the robot flip over the head so it doesn’t have to pop out.
Sweet
Really, really cool
Love your videos wish I could get a opportunity to work with you ! ITS ALIVE!!!
Wonderful
2:22 - Guy in background "ugh, I have seen this 50 times today!"
Pretty neat prop. Abs could use a little more detail than just the antennae girder.
Was it able to drive in the end, dont think there was a clip showing it, but nice work though!
Niceeee
Dayan the head and face tho that’s my fav part I recon so much detail
Now for Optimus Prime
thats was great :-)
I see a new lathe in the shop!
👋 😮
Imagine that thing talks while your having a date at the garage
the only thing am sad about i how skinny it is, but trans forming it from a "car" to a robot must haved taken alot of work so thats all that matters XD
1:34 big bee has rosen
Yes!
bhahaha. Wasn't expecting another video about this... Elements of it still look a bit weird... But boy is it ever impressive in spite of that. (especially given the time constraints...)
I could see it being better if u had more time but still a good job
Why dis guy has just that subs sub more guys

No
For the open dog project why don' t you use Udoo board instead of tree Arduino mega
I"m like bumblebees
A prank video done right
The whole point of the video is to watch the car transform, but you spend most of the time looking at other things besides the car. Could you have gotten a photographer who was more distracted (sarcasm)
u should use this in a shopping center on a stage
😂😂😂😂😂
James , where exactly are you even keeping these things ??!!! Along the years you made so manny thing that now you must be running out of space home !!!
Anyone else get the feeling that many of this channels followers have extremely bad social skills?

You are indeed very correct. In fact, i am extremely anti-social so i tend to dwell into robotics and super cool machinery that does indeed tickle my sensitive areas. I wish i had friends as I've been lonely for most of the 42 years I've existed on the planet earth.
