I just had a 12x16 4" thick with fiber reinforcement slab poured. The concrete itself was decently priced, about $632 including delivery... the labor to finish it is just off the charts! I did most of the prep work myself of digging it out, hired a different guy for $400 even to clear the rest away, grade it and bring in 411 mix and he rolled his bobcat over it. The concrete finisher I found set the forms, compacted it, I asked him for a little deeper around the edges, and he only charged me $1000 but he cut me a huge break because I did some electrical work for him. He said normally it's $2k for him to go to a job site. I am building a 12x12 shed with a 4ft porch overhang. Just cut all my bottom and top plates today, ran out of daylight. I bout 51 2x4x8's, 25 4x8 OSB 7/16 sheathing, 8 2x4x12's (non treated) and 4 2x4x12 treated.... lumber was around $1200 total, with the OSB sheets being the majority of that purchase. I did buy new doors for my main house and main garage but those prices weren't included in what I just provided. Lumber has come down substantially but labor pricing for contractors (and I am an IT field engineer contractor) is still through the roof....) and my biggest complaint is MOST of the guys demanding these astronomical pricing should go back to flipping burgers because they suck! lol

I've notice that all US sheds seem to be built with 2x4 or 2x6 timber as a minimum, with studs and rafters set at 16" centers. My 30 year old one (that came with the house) was likely from a pre made kit and is mainly a 2x1 frame with uprights at 35" centers. There's one center roof joist / rafter at 70" from each end It's a miracle it's still standing really.

Most of the builds on this channel are done for a contractor, he charges about $40-$50/sq ft for everything. If you plan on doing a lot of the work yourself, obviously it will be significantly less.

@VMa-mq3pm I dunno where u live. But in Canada, we got -40c winter with 1-3ft of snow. We salted the driveway. Treated wood and steel plate will only last couple decades. If u build something, u want it to last 100 years. 1 foot concrete wall foundation is not difficult and will save those woods from thawing snow.
