    Nice, well you're getting better and better with this stuff and should make sure you have the right tools and work area. I see guys getting those containers at auctions that area often already set up as work shops with electricity, bathrooms, etc. Diesele Creek Matt is always grabbing those and taking them back to the farm to clean up and I think is going to take some of them and pull an Andrew Camarata type of deal with them.... but ya... good for work spaces that you can make portable even with little trouble really.

    You don't have to go balls out on your first table. It's like expecting your first car to be a new Corvette or something. You can do a lot with much less.

    Nice job. Looks good. Going to get one built myself here this spring. Have a bunch of 7 foot long 2x2 steel posts that need to be made into one of these tables

    Looks great! What will you do about the rust? I picked up a used welding table and it’s as rusty as my uncles left leg. I was told to at least paint the legs but Im wondering if it would be best to keep it raw

    I made plans for one myself a week ago and I started looking up prices....600 friggin euros. Prices have gone insane. Before I started I thought it would be a 200 Euro table, maybe 300 max. I'm gonna keep my eyes on the local scrappers though, it doesn't need to be new.

    Better learn to appreciate what life has given you and how to properly use an angle grinder or you wont be making squat on that welding table

    I wonder how you feel (or maybe you have not used it enough to know since you have not top) but I wonder how you feel about the casters. I put some tables on casters and the table tends to wobble and wiggle even if the wheels are locked. Any feedback?

  • @dieseJL

    @dieseJL

    Honestly it has been very solid so far. The casters I got do not have the best brakes so that is the only thing I am disappointed with. I can move it with the brakes on if I try really hard. As far as wobbling, it does not. Very solid on the cement floor and not bouncy. They also make self leveling or leveling casters too if you are really looking for a solid, mobile table.

    Weld on coupler nuts vertically to the legs with a stand-off put a bolt down through it with a foot screw it down to stabilize and/or level the table.

    I'd just turn the welder up full blast and weld it. It's so heavy you could probably just set it on there and it wouldn't move. I would be more concerned about the casters because if those welds fail that could really mess you up!

  • @m.weston7114
    @m.weston7114Ай бұрын

    Never understood why anyone would put plastic casters on anything in a metal shop? Not only does hot metal melt into the wheels, any sharp metal object cuts or inbeds itself into the wheels. Steel wheel swivel casters is the only way to go. Also, #9 flat expanded metal makes the best shelf underneath. You will forever be brushing all the crap off of your shelf that collects from working. Keep your wheels off the frame until your done. Flipping it with wheels on is not a good idea, a safety thing.

    Casters on the legs of a welding table is the worst thing you can do, if you weld everyday you would know this, moving around the table the whip and any other tool with an extension cord will get caught on the casters.
