Building a Roof Over the Container! | Shipping Container Workshop

SO MUCH work got done this week! We now have a roof over the container and all the siding milled. We got a ton done for this week, which makes up a bit for last week. In the next video, we will really start to see this place transform!

Getting some great ideas for my container.
Green lumber will be fine for rafters and board and batten siding. Like you said it will dry in place. I’m enjoying this build! 💡👊

Really enjoying the container build!! I do have a small set of ifixit tools and they have helped us out to save money by fixing stuff ourselves and having to buy new stuff! Really enjoy watching both of your channels!

This so cool to watch this go into place. I've got a 8x40 also and have been wondering how to pretty it up. Here in Florida we get some strong winds (of course). So we tie our rafters down with Simpson Strong Ties. It might be worth your while to check them out. Not so much for the downward load, but the updraft.

I like a wide brim hat while cutting grass and got a pair of behind the head hearing protection ear muffs. They have a metal frame that sits behind your neck and a velcro strip that goes over your head. They work pretty good.
