LOL Andy keeps callin the pistons cylinders now thats funny!!!!
Pistons and connecting rods - these go inside the cylinders. “Main hub” is the crankcase. The crankshaft runs in this. The notched rod is the master rod. Pushrods operate the valves via the rocker arms. Quick tip - vacuum the floor and work surfaces before work. Makes runaway parts easier to recover. Nice model! 👍🏻
My wife gave me one of the car engines for my birthday, and it was a lot of fun to build. I may have to get this one.
Outstanding video!
Very cool kit. Shows you what happens when an Erector Set grows up. Has a price to match.
Damn I was just at the shop last week from out of state, looks like I missed the completed kit. Well I’ll be back in 6 months so I’ll see it then. Thanks for another great build video. 👍
Andy, what a great build today! Thank you for this one! Greetings from Germany!
That's pretty cool. I've seen those before and you've convinced me to try one.
This model is awesome, love to build this.
Very nice build of what looks like a well engineered kit. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome kit! Thanks for the show.
Why do I get the impression that this is a display version of a real R/C radial engine? I’m extremely impressed!
WELL DONE THIS IS STILL NOT GOING TOO KEEP YOU COOL THROUGH THE SUMMER TIME , NOT BAD AT ALL .
That is one awesome looking kit.
I always really enjoy your builds, you have such enthusiasm and pride In the end result.
VERY COOL KIT!!!! Nice display piece!!!
Years ago I used to get paid to work on the R/C version for the OS Engines brand. Their Sirius 5-cylinder was much like this. The cam reduction gear was different. Loved to test run the multiple cylinder engines including the flat-four Pegasus.
Awesome. A great kit. Precision made. Like you I always wonders how radial engines worked and also those rotary aircraft engines.
That was fun to watch! Very cool
What a great little model, nice job👌👌👌👌
What a lovely kit. Enjoyed watching the vid❤️❤️
Wow!! Really cool Andy!!!
That was awesome!
This is a really neat kit that is made with a great amount of precision and looks amazing. There is another build video on this on another KZread (no audio) channel called Restoration Kamasutra. Just as good with perhaps a different perspective and tips. He does other Teching kits including a V-8 motor. A word of warning is that level of detail and precision does NOT come cheap! Great job Andy.
Probably the best scale model ever made. Parts are all cast in metal and come separate in their foam holders. Parts are “assembled” not glued together. Reminds me of Pocher kits.
I watched Adam build the engine kit and loved it. Soon after, I started getting ads during the games on my cell for the same kit for $15! I decided to order one, knowing what was gonna happen. I got a small, cast resin engine, painted like the one Adam had built. Good thing I have a sense of humor!
Nice one Andy....love it....love a radial engine
I knew you would love this thing !
Cool engine.👍👍
That is so COOL. Need to start saving my pennies :)
Nice to see something different being built that is also unique!
The "Night Witchs" would be proud.
Very nice, yes I am just like you and love to see how things are working from the inside. Great job and very nice video
Nice build .
How cool is this!!
Nice kit! Greetings from Austria 😊
Relatable i love this type of stuff too!
Now that is COOL !!!!!!! 👍🙂👍🙂
Lovely...push rods Andy, push rods,
Love watching this video, just wanted to give you a heads up...the items you are calling cylinders are actually pistons and connecting rods.

Hello Yes I know this and didn't realize I mispoke until after the video came out. Thanks for watching
Neat kit and impressed. You kept calling the pistons “cylinders” which made me chuckle. Also the tappets/lifters not “injectors” haha. I also noticed the valve timing was off an if there is a correction for it to set timing in the instruction manual? Very nice piece an always enjoy your videos.

Andy calling the pistons cylinders was driving me a little nuts. Nice kit though!

Super cool with a super cool price tag ... 😮💨😪
$500 bucks! That's crazy! Some of there stuff was$600.
Its a nice kit and I checked it out online. It is quite expensive here in the UK. It seems to run very well but I was just wondering with the cam gears, you mentioned nothing about timing the cam to the crank otherwise the vales wont be opening in the correct sequence to the piston.
Well Andy, thanks for this video, very nice model but... ...absolutely out of my price range!
That is awesome. They should come out with a ROTARY engine like in a WW1 airplane
Looks like lots of fun to build but how long do you think it would operate before wearing out or seizing given that there is no active lubrication?
hi andy. more video on your builds
Yay new Ahh video :D
woot bout lubing the valves mr ?
Could be a great (expensive) birthday gift for a 14-year-old
Before I buy from them... am I able to buy through you, Andy? Want to make sure to get your cut! :)
What's the msrp for this little gem??
Now imagine working on a Pratt n Whitney R4360 with 4 rows and 28 cylinders with two spark plugs each and having to check spark gap. A B-36 had six of them. Uffda!

Nice model love the radial engines. But at 500$ I’ll pass.

Given that I see raw castings/materials for metal working kits run $100 plus, I was expecting a price nearer to $1000.
I'm trying to understand why radial engines need an odd number of cylinders per bank. I know it's the 1-3-5-2-4 thing, but when the number one engine (on top) is in power stroke what is number two doing?? It's got me ALL confused!
there's a black line on the top at the beginning

I hate c clips. Got them on my strap locks.

Well...I would order one tomorrow...but the $499.00 went in to the gas tank.....Peace!
You know why they call them c clips because you will cee them later.

We always called them "Jesus" clips. Because that's what you yell when it rockets across the room
What? No putty, filling, filing, sanding, priming, painting, decals, weathering? Where’s the fun in that?! 😂
Sounds like it was struggling xD
$500. Damn.
*Pistons *Pushrods
I wish i knew you sell these kit. i bought one of these and it is coming from China.
They're called pistons Andy, not cylinders ( up to 10 minutes in)
Hi Andy, a great looking kit, nit my thing but I will interested on how it turns out, one question, have you ever figured out how females work or think? keep safe mate.
Pistons, Andy, not cylinders.
Very cool. Certainly not worth $700
Pistons not cylinders
Kinda looks expensive for a retired person
Was enthralled by this until I realised it was not an actual motor, still looks good but at 500 dollars I wont be buying one.
stupid customers , stop interrupting Andy 🤣🤣🤣

Yes, people complaining he doesn't build that much stuff - he has business to run :D
Hey Andy the first step is building the pistons not cylinders LoL just razzing you little
I was wondering tht you didn't have to set valve timing. Now I see. Engine doesn't work like a real one. There is no compression- or working stroke!! Valves open at each stroke. That's very bad! All timing gear is fake and so to much money for that kit!!
