Building a 165HP Sport Quad! 1000cc 2 Stroke Snowmobile!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

The first 1,000 people to use this link will get a 1 month free trial of Skillshare: skl.sh/grindhardplumbingco07211 This week we took our 1000cc 2 stroke Snowmobile good for 165 HP and turned it into a overpowered sport quad for improved stability and traction. The custom swing arm on the former reverse trike was off center so we will have to build a new one soon then get this quad on the dyno and later later a drag racing strip. Is this the most powerful quad ever?
You can find all of our tools here: www.grindhardplumbingco.com/b...

    If only you had some sort of really big vehicle that you could put a bunch of water into and spray it around to wet down the track. That would be great.

  • @rammatic7881
    @rammatic78813 жыл бұрын

    You’ve probably thought of this already, but it was completely normal for ATVs to come from the factory with different length metal axles, since they normally had an offset differential. So you could definitely just leave the swing arm as it is, and just shorten and lengthen the metal axle pieces that the hubs spline on to.

    You guys just gave me a good idea, I have a Yamaha SRV snowmobile just sitting around. and I have been looking for a decent four wheeler but haven't had much luck finding one yet. this made me think, rather than having that snowmobile just sitting there. I can turn it into a four wheeler, it would be fairly easy just Fab. a swing arm for the rear and some spindles for the front. I have most of the parts to do the job, I would have to get some hubs with four on four inch lug pattern and some sprockets and chain. I'm pretty sure that I have most all the rest of the parts and stuff. and the sled ran great when I stopped riding it a few years ago. because my snowmobiling buddy's wife made him get rid of his sleds. hell it might work out pretty good I could ride it around some. while I'm looking for a decent four wheeler, thanks guys.

    I think an extended axle with some spacers and 22x11x9 atv tires would be pretty good for traction, ride quality, tire life, and would overall be very proportional for how big the snowmobile is
