    Loved your vid loved your humour. I can relate to so much as I’m always fabricating something, comments like a flat garage floor, looking for steel “ah some 30mm reo “ !! I like making blades axes and knives so to have a go at forging would be a buzz. Your plucking sounded ok to.

    Ha ha I cut my RR track anvil with my power hack saw with a regular hand hacksaw blade I. It... it didn’t take long but it was such a crooked cut I had to re cut it and grind it with the angle grinder!! Lol

    Brother this is the best vid I've watched on making a power hammer, but pro's and con's Pro's: Great vid Welding in shorts, need sandals though Scrapping from old shit Pit bull in the back ground, a big plus!! Great design Functionable Your accent, it seems Australian but hey I'm from Tennessee everyone has an accent besides us:} Tattoos Music Scrapping, uh I've said that already Cons: Not enough tattoos Not enough old school punk music No dimensions, at least I've not found them yet Great video , just need some kind of dimensions and at least on your sound track, if you are from Down Under, some Lime Spiders.     Man it was just a random old 1/4hp 240volt electric motor I had kicking about. You could use whatever you can find. An old washing machine motor would do the trick. Thanks for watching 🤟🏻

    @@oldskoolonly Thanks for the reply bro! I've been building plans for my own power hammer, and I just don't know dick about motors lol. To be specific I'm trying to create a power hammer that can be completely modular. Hammer weight, workpiece overhead, and speed... I've gotten the whole thing worked up BUT the motor. For some reason like no one says what motor they use

    @@oldskoolonly I definitely could make one for myself easily enough. But I'd like to offer these plans to the community for free when I'm done. Imagine having a power hammer that can be a 50 lb tuned for doing detail work, and in 10 minutes switching it to a 200lb deadblow for super large projects. All for under 500$ of material.

    By the way congrats on reaching 200 subscribers, and Happy Australia Day! I was gonna do a video of driving my valiant around, snacking on Tim Tams and listening to ACDC and then mirror the film in editing so it looked like the wheel is on the other side of the car. But unfortunately a freeze plug popped out of it in those single digit temps a couple weeks back and I just found out about it today, let it be known that StopLeak is not a sufficient anti freeze substitute.

    When you disengage the motor, will the hammer come to rest wide open? If not, maybe a piece of elastic cord hooked on so when the motor disengages, it pulls the hammer to full open.

    Yep mate I just read it anyway.. the stuff you asked in the description.... #Does anybody even read this stuff ?# very nice project by the way. You may not have a bazillion in shiny new equipment, you weld with extremely minimal protective clothing, there's dust and shit lying around, just like in my "workshop", but blimey mate you get the job done, and entertain us along the way. Inspiring stuff! On a weather note, while you were 'enjoying' the middle of summer, we in lovely Sweden have many degrees minus Celcius, my garden's got piles of ploughed up snow lying around, and I'm definitely not up for welding bare armed!
