Love the detail on this one.. Just the sheer size of this will never make it past my wife's approval :)

LOL!
Hi wayne this takes me down memory lane about the route master as when I lived in london in the 70s and ride into london
I drive a bus for a living, very tempted with this model.
Normally watch your videos on my phone, but not much on the television. So connected said phone to my television and it is so much better watching it on a larger screen
Great timing to start a new build , I got my first packs of the Routemaster today, looking forward to building it with your assistance
Love the baby changing mat x
Dear Wayne, Memories came flooding back to me as I watched your brilliant tutorial. I do hope that they capture the seat coverings! Thoroughly enjoying this build. Kind Regards Johnny
Coming to the end of the Bismarck so my grandson suggested we both build something…I was hoping he would choose the Torino but because I drive a bus he picked the routemaster..I’m glad he did…really enjoying it
once done this is a very heavy model make sure you have a good shelf
This was a brilliant build from Hachette and yours will be complete in a year. Excellent video Wayne.
At just over 14KG when Finnished you will need a very strong shelf , i done the Hachette Routemaster !
Ding Ding 🛎 … any more fares please! Going to enjoy the ride with this build Wayne! Love the Routemaster model (I have all 130 issues of the Hachette release .. but have only built first 10 .. so you have caught me up straight away … hope you will do the modification to make the near side side light work .. as it will look odd otherwise .. lots of screws too .. nearly 3,000 in 50+ different types… depending on which period you want your bus to represent .. other mods will be necessary … the interior ceiling colour was changed to Sung Yellow at one of the first overhauls .. as was the front grille .. the bullseye badge was removed from the bonnet & triangular badge added to the grille … when first delivered they had an additional small blind just showing the route number on the off side by the stairs .. but this was very quickly removed or plated over … enormous choice of adverts .. a gentleman by name of Peter Curton made some fabulous ones for both the outside & inside of this model when Hachette released it …he is doing them again for the Agora release (quite a few builders have mounted the external ones onto thin magnetic strips so that they can change the adverts .. as they did on the real ones!) .. can’t wait for your Video for pack 2 … “now get that bus out Butler!”
I had build Routemaster already by Hachette. I'm enjoy watch your video.
Not interested in building this one myself at all but I'll enjoy watching you do it!
You have inspired me to do these model kits. I had to suspend my Ecto-1 & Enterprise builds till I get working again
I just got my first pack of the Routemaster Bus from Agora Models and I have to say. The parts for the bus and just the boxes and everything from agora is just a higher quality than anything Eaglemoss can come up with. I love the fact that Agora Models ships to Canada as well. No problem with third party shippers and having to deal with customs. Eaglemoss has some real competition with Agora Models and they really need to get their act together.

Just got my first 2 issues - promptly, I might add. The whole arrangement looks professional. I'm glad we've got Wayne to help us sort it out. I'd recently finished up the Eaglemoss Aston Martin - great kit, but I did not know about this KZread. I could have done better.
It's funny how memory works. I'm watching this video and I can recall riding in the buses of my home town and can smell the stale cigarettes, and in my mind's eye I can see the conductor with his/her ticket machine cranking out tickets. On occasion there would be the stern trench coated inspector looming over everyone. Good times!

I know exactly what you mean, they smelt the same as the old red telephone boxes...Great memories of riding on the 159 to my school in the early seventies...
oooh. Sexy sassy muzak for a bus. I'm on board (even though my bus had a leather strap to pull to ding the bell for the driver to stop). Another great video!
I finished mine about six months ago, and I really enjoyed building it, I even got extra people for the seats. If you plan to put it on a self, you will need a very strong shelf as it's very very heavy.
Routemaster bus 1 12 scale, you'll enjoy building this model, has I've already done so, need to take a lot of care with some of parts okay.
Excellent weirdo video
Hi world of wayne it looks really good the route master bus good stream
I love the on the buses series. "I hate you butler"
Who doesn't love a big red British bus...lots of nice looking details, my only gripe is those screws on the kicker plates - I think I'd replace those with pin heads to replicate the rivet, just look too big 🤔 and at 1/12 scale you take take Star Wars figures for a bus ride 😁
I just completed issues 20 can't wait until my next issues. Unfortunately they sent me a front wheel instead of a rear outer wheel in issue 20 by mistake I hope they will change it. I emailed Agora they send they will send out a new one. Can't wait to finish this. Great video
Superb new build. Looked so impressive on the big screen. Keep up the good work.b
This looks like it's going to be an amazing build. Looking ahead to seeing this build to the completion. Great video Wayne. See you next time.
I have built this bus a while ago, When you put the back wheels on don't tighten them on as they will need to be removed in a later stage, also this comes with a few passengers, I got a few extra Sitting passengers for my bus from A dolls house supplier.
New build day is always the best. This is a very detailed first pack with the suspension and first two wheels which is a first but this is agora model's and not hachette Loving the new build. Stay safe all.
nice, the only change I would do to it already is replacing the advert stickers with other brands...
Great video, Wayne! Sure looks like a fantastic build.
I've been looking forward to this build, i wasn't aware of the earlier model, but I'm seriously considering buying this one 👍👍👍
Hello Wayne that's very impressive this Route Master Bus very nice looking model build. That's a nice bus model RM857 112 scale. Besides in Canada and Ireland and USA but normally UK. Nice looking buses. I enjoyed this video on this new build I want this bus for myself. 👍👍🚃🚃🇬🇧🇬🇧🇨🇦🇨🇦🇺🇸🇺🇸. It's the first stages of this build. Fantastic video.
Loved building the routemaster bus , i believe there is around about 3000 screws for itlol
Built it when released by Hachette. Great build and turns out to be a really impressive model!
Thanks for this video. I've ordered the Routemaster so I'm counting on you to help me through the build. 😁. I used to ride on Routemasters and the older RT buses as a kid, to and from school. Loved being able to just jump on or off the bus pretty much anywhere it slowed down enough. On way home from school as the bus slowed the conductor would tell us "jump" while it was still moving, and as we jumped off rang the bell to tell the drover to get going again. Days before health and safety.
Excellent build Wayne well done mate your certainly going to love the rest of the build of this iconic bus definitely worth the wait , hopefully won’t be long now before I start on this fabulous bus too again , you wait for one bus and low and behold three turn up , 👍😆
Been waiting eagerly for this one!
i have so enjoyed this this build so far
Fantastic quality of your Webcam.....greetings from germany
I got my pack and I am excited to follow your videos for another build !
Excellent build Wayne - with all these subscribers you are clearly a mandatory requirement
I enjoy watching your clip, it tells various hints how to deal with those minor problems during assembly. One of it that I learned from you is dealing with screw(or bolt) that not quite "fitted" to metal components: by small amount of oil (or grease) to the thread and gently tighten in and out until it fitted.
I had a heck of a time screwing the wing onto the grill. The cm screw that was supposed to go onto the top hole would not go in all of the way. I ended up using an am screw and it worked beautifully.
One of the thngs I will always hate about these partworks is that you are given iconic pieces that aren't attached until 50-60 parts down the line. I only recently attached the wheels to my bus and I am on stage 90
I did the measurements and this is going to be one big thing! Id have loved this when i was a kid, I am toying with the idea of building this my self.
I would say "We're all going on a summer holiday" but it's a bit late in the year for that now. 😉
Looking at this bus reminds me of on the buses 😀
All aboard the Waynemaster Bus
Nice. I thought you'd missed out on this one. I reckon an excerpt from the tune of 'On the busses' to introduce this build😁
Wow that was amazing ! What an absolutely brilliant model with incredible detail ! You have a very easy manor which was both interesting and educational to watch, well done. Regards Tony Hawkridge.
Looks like you will beat me on the build I get mine from Hachette Germany so I get 4 issues a month😂. but one of my free gifts are figures a bus driver and Conductor . Had to glue my light rims they snapped because there was too much paint in the hole and I pressed too hard 😂😂 Great Build as always see you on Patreon..
I just bought one ready built at a bargain price of £80 that's £1000 cheaper and saved me the stress of building it plus I didn't want to wait 3 years plus I didn't want to waste £1200.😎
This looks fun x
Wayne what a detailed model I’ve subscribed to this lovely model great vid as usual.
I noticed Your making Kitt at the moment that is gonna look good when finished and also Enterprise 1701 D, I like Star Trek so really looking forward to seeing that completed.
Awesome model dude, this and KITT are the ones I would like to build .Sadly can't afford so will be glued to your video's, don't you just hate being poor lol.
Showed this to the wife. Her immediate thought was to turn this into the Knight Bus from Harry Potter. Looks doable, but you'd need two kits to make it happen. And, yes, I'm an enabler as I actually looked into the possibility of accomplishing that feat. LOL.

Id love to make that one, my dad used to drive RMs but these models are way out of my price range sadly but it does look good
Thanks!
it was a great build bit hard in parts
Just to make a small correction, those are not brake discs. They are the side of the brake drums. This is 1960's technology, don't forget. Still, great video, great subject. Just not sure about the massive (for the scale) screw heads visible on the stair risers and wing trim details.

Please Please Please could you not put at the beginning of your builds m screws need a little bit of oil and p screws nothing 🙏 Love all of your Vlogs, Love from Tenerife, Canary Islands.
Unavailable in my country. Will watch the build nevertheless
Registration is from a real Routemaster which is currently taxed to run on the road. I wonder who owns it??

It’s owned by a friend of mine along with two other buses
Ecto-1 still biggest vehicle...80cm lenght
Lol the hachette one only appeared once in my newsagents. it was issue 110 for some reason
Really enjoyed watching this video i get so involved in watching all your videos. As usual this is going to be a epic build. Hope you don't have to wait to long for the next issues. P.s what happened to the Bismarck? Haven't seen her for a few weeks now. Take care 🙂

The rims on the wheels are called wheel nut guard rings.
@mohawkvalleyrailroad
Жыл бұрын
They were fitted to all large vehicles with exposed wheel nuts as a safety precaution in case a pedestrian was hit by or fell against the front wheels as the vehicle was moving so they or their clothing would not get tangled up in exposed moving parts. The idea and law fell out of fashion in the 70/80’s. Most of them were chromed or polished metal castings. Routemasters and most AEC built vehicles were a metal pressing, Leyland and a few others were polished cast aluminium.
At 1:12 scale, this model kit is basically GODZILLA.
Lookin gud
Are the screws codes the same as the cobra or are the screws different from other builds
@WorldofWayneUK

Like video
Could you tell me what type of oil you use for the metal screws? I learned a lesson. A file broke off inside a screw hole that didn't go through. So short of drilling it out I can't use that screw hole. I'm going to leave it and if it's needed further up I'll likely use some metal glue on that one screw hold. It's the top screw holding the left side to the front grill.
@WorldofWayneUK

It’s just a regular 3 in 1 oil

Would love to build this and the fire truck but my pension wont allow that
Loving the look of this build however. Is it just me or did the kick plates look a little too busy with the big screw heads? Do you think they should have been done on the other side?

I couldn't help but notice the ship from The Explorers. I cannot find any info that tells me how many parts this bus has. I'm thinking about getting one.

The bus comes in 12 packs. The “Thunder Road” from Explorers was a 3D print d file designed by Jeff Fink and is available as an STL file from partworkupgrades.com
Both my wheels are quite loose (in the aspect of if turning left or right), I can't see why they would be, is this normal and would it matter once the build progresses?
