This kinda ship is what ended my dad's career in Vietnam. He took a missile to the turret, took his arm off. The way he told it, they darned his arm back on like a sock. He retired from Ford's where he worked for another 40 years while doing black ops in Selfridge AFB. Crazy stuff man.

Hi Wayne . Do you have any idea what this beast will weigh when it's complete . I'm currently building this ( as you are too ) and want to display it on a shelf when it's complete . Obviously the brackets will need need to be pretty beefy to accommodate this monster. Any info would be appreciated mate . Bill

That's a nice free gift. This and the Lancaster are your two most interesting models on the current videos followed closely by the Titanic. I wonder if anyone will be making a crew for this one.

So, it's been so hot in your area that the plastic melted on the Space Station?! WOW! Have you checked other plastic parts to see how their doing? What about Vicent? We've had weeks of very hot weather here too in South Orange County, CA. Yesterday here In Aliso Viejo, it reached up to near 98 (F) / 37 (C) by 11am!

Hi Wayne, another fantastic build! Like many of us who purchased this great model, your engieneering rotation solution looks like the best method from some of the other solutions. Can you share the model numbers of the motor, slip ring and gear that you used? It would also be helpful to know the diameter of the hollow metal tube. And can you share the STL file for the motor and rod support housing. Just curios. Thank you for the great build tutorial videos for this model!

Lots of bundling today to build the least practical military vehicle ever designed. I never really liked this Batmobile. It looks too blocky and aggressive for Batmans sense of style. Still it's better than the Batmobile in the latest movie that just looks like an average muscle car with bad paint and a jet engine ratchet strapped to the boot lid.

I don't have any negativity towards these stages with nothing to do because I have a friend sending me this from the UK to the USA and we do large shipments to so save on postage. I do think this model was really expensive to produce with the amount of electrics and engineering that went into it requiring them to drag it out to spread the cost. Just my two cents. Hachette always seems to backfill their models with millions of things to do in the last 15-20 stages so this looks to be no different...

Way too little to do in each pack/stage. This should be a 6 month build at most. They stretch some of these out for 2 years, charge ridiculous S&H and it just drives up the overall cost. I just finished the Pocher Aventador model and it was half the price of any of the part works cars while it took me 2-3 times longer to complete than any of those cars. Way more detailed and way more fun and challenging to do. Your Tumbler will look good when done, but putting these together is the fun part for most of us.

I can't see the builder getting much satisfaction out of such a paltry amount of "work". I think they overestimate the value of he printed material they are putting in the booklets. How many people stop to actually read them? Maybe the Optimus build spoiled me, but 12 stages, plenty to do and no fluff ( booklets repeating things I already know and/or t-shirts or hats that I'll never wear) is the way to go.
