I actually really like the buffered AR bullpup setup. It does bring the grip forward almost to pistol shooting length but the Hellion seems to have a long length of pull, too. Also, having a buffer tube still means you can get a cheekweld that doesn't require putting your face onto the bare pic rails. And the support hand can just grip in front of the SCY chassis, making any sort of forward grip unnecessary. It would be interesting to see the 7.62x39 upper fired while being filmed with a high speed camera to see what it is doing. Maybe the issue might be that the carrier is bouncing at the rear of travel which then cause feeding issues. It makes sense that there are no issues with 5.56 because the KAK is designed for that fundamentally.

I have an acquaintance who feels otherwise about buffered bullpups lol. Thanks for the kind words! I have another update on the rifle, just haven't gotten a chance to go out to the range.
