What barrel profile is that? Does it have a heat sink? You have a inconel or straight gas tube? You have a binary or forced reset trigger?

From 30 to 60. That's the way I like it!
@TheOz913 ай бұрын
I actually really like the buffered AR bullpup setup. It does bring the grip forward almost to pistol shooting length but the Hellion seems to have a long length of pull, too. Also, having a buffer tube still means you can get a cheekweld that doesn't require putting your face onto the bare pic rails. And the support hand can just grip in front of the SCY chassis, making any sort of forward grip unnecessary. It would be interesting to see the 7.62x39 upper fired while being filmed with a high speed camera to see what it is doing. Maybe the issue might be that the carrier is bouncing at the rear of travel which then cause feeding issues. It makes sense that there are no issues with 5.56 because the KAK is designed for that fundamentally.

I have an acquaintance who feels otherwise about buffered bullpups lol. Thanks for the kind words! I have another update on the rifle, just haven't gotten a chance to go out to the range.
@TheOz913 ай бұрын
Even with the buffer tube, the length of pull seems to be manageable. And checking of vids from other people, for some of them, it can be quite short of a length of pull without it.

Dude you should NOT be posting this video as anything to do with the Reap SCY....your upper was garbage and you're making a pretty solid product look bad and in a very amateurish way with such a poorly produced and scripted video. You should take the video down and redo it with a functional upper.....everyone I've seen on KZread LOVES their SCY and they're a good outfit, I've talked with them.

Doesn't have one, like the suggestion but I will see what KAK can do for me first before I grab a gasblock. I'm going to check the BCG weights as well. I'm speculating the Black Rifle Arms weighs less because it has a polymer backend and causing it to short stroke. Hopefully no extra money spent 🤞

Great review, I’m assuming you plan to go bufferless down the road. Your buffer negates the purpose of a bullpup chassis. In its current state it’s only bringing your grip further forward and not actually shortening you system as designed.

Thank you! The LOP definitely feels as if it was attached to a standard lower. I found Deadfoot arms to be my best option when I go bufferless.

Great review? You mean the part of putting the microphone in the wind so the viewers get a ton of wind noise and feel like this guy clearly doesn't care about his viewers since he's making ZERO attempt to filter out the wind, or buy a wind sock for the microphone, or edit in post? This is not a great review....this is actually a very poorly done video and should be improved upon for a lot of reasons. Standards matter....and this video is far below even high school level expectations.
