This has that classic gw style. I love the modernish overdesigned style of warhammer buildings/terrain but this just screams "use me in games" instead of just build, paint, store and never use in games. Fantastic
@EricsHobbyWorkshop

Yeah theres a lot of beautiful detail on the new gw stuff but it feels too busy sometimes. Terrain needs to blend into the background a bit and some gw terrain kits have as much detail as minis!

Eric is the Bob Ross of wargaming - great techniques and relaxing to listen to
I'm an old fart just coming into this. However, I have a vast architectural background. I find these videos captivating. You are never too old to learn from the young. Btw, well done!
You've managed to create a scale version of modern Detroit in those glamour shots. Robocop would be proud to serve and protect there.
That waterfall in the background! :O
As I was watching you make the crumbled wall, I was thinking, "Dude is way too strong, he is gonna break it." I wasn't disappointed. Nice build bro!
much respect to see you using math instead of overmeasuring. I hold the compass to be one of the most under utilized tools in terrain making
Very clever using the foam from the breach section to make its own rubble so the volume looks just right! The whole piece is epic, and the breach is really the highlight!

This man needs more viewership, although granted terrain craft for 40k is definitely a niche hobby. I can't get enough of his skill and teachings, he is a absolute master in his field, what an artisan.

@@Smaakakor not necessarily. If they completely altered their doctrine to use the blood angels tactics, yes. However, if they just adopted it alongside their own tactics, similar to what the ultramarines do, then the fisty fellas would remain as the masters.
I am utilizing the comment section to help increase your interactions in a pretensions way to influence the agrorithiam. All jokes aside I love your work. Much of your terrain reminds me of the stuff games workshop used in there battle reports back in 2ed. Being that's when I got into miniature gaming every one of your video's leaves me giddy with nostalgia and has inspired me to start making terrain again.

I dont think ill ever not be both annoyed and tickled by your prequel references. Love the build!
And the industrial towers in the jungle fortress! What a cool shot
I'd like to utilise the comments positively to say this is a great project. I hope it gets a lot of utilisation.

AH! Seeing the different layouts with that modularity is so satisfying
Nicely conceived and built. I like the ability to UTILIZE the components for a multitude of configurations.
Man I wish I had a friend like you
You utilized that foam board incredibly well. 👏👏👏
If I had been taught geometry that way, I'd remember more.
I might recommend a scroll saw to help speed up and ease the process of having to cut through several layers of foam at a time. Great video. Thank you for sharing.
Bob Ross of tabletop crafting, great job!
Thank you for considering other countries when clarifying what you mean by chipboard! Not many videos I've watched do this and it's really useful considering how many crafting materials have different names across the world. Another amazing build by the way!
Another great build! I think a lot of times modular terrain isn't worth the effort to craft or purchase, as the fitment and hassle of pegs or magnets can be more trouble than they're worth, but for big, Line of sight blocking terrain, especially with a very simple, fast attachment point like you've designed here, I think you can get a ton of value and it stays fresh for just a little effort and planning. Would love to see some wyloch style clip-ons for this system, in addition to the larger buildings you mentioned. Keep up the good work!

Just got back into the hobby three months ago, painted up a nice looking plague marine squad, and i stumbled across your cardboard tower video and after that I have been hooked. I love your videos, and im well on my way with a list of supplies I want to order from amazon so that I can try myself to make something simple, but with your cool detail technique and ideas. Cant get enough of these, Loving it man, keep it up!
For the hexagon alone it was already worth enough to like the vid *thumbsUp
I will endeavor to utilise the knowledge and skills imparted in this videographed work. Never surrender to those who would tear down our linguistic history and indeed our shared destiny. Do not allow brigands and ne'er-do-wells to set alight our verbal Library of Alexandria! Defend your incredibly rich traditions and history! (seriously, great build).
I love how flexible it is, how good it looks too.
Excuse me but how many COMPLETE, FULLY PAINTED ARMYS DO YOU HAVE.
@EricsHobbyWorkshop

Zero lol. Gotta pick and choose units to show on camera. I have like 2000pts of playable night lords, but only about half is fully painted. Half has just basecoats so looks halfway decent on the table at a distance. I have about 1500 pts of blood angels built and half painted as well. I have close to 2000 pts of eldar that are almost all unpainted, save a unit of guardians, a farseer and a jetbike. And i have a handful of guard, a few tyranids, a decent amount of orks, an indomitus worth of necrons. Ok i have a lot. Still working on painting it all though

Pedantry incoming. 15:15 - There is a difference between 'use' and 'utilise', when they're used correctly (which people rarely do). You utilise something when you put it to a use for which it was not originally intended. If you're a Blood Angels captain who opens a door, you're "using" it. If you're the same captain who rips the door off its hinges and batters an Ork boy over the head with it, you're "utilising" it. BTW, love watching your vids. I used to scratch build terrain - it was always my favourite part of the hobby. Your videos are giving me that itch again. :)
This is looking awesome and your way of explaining is very beginner friendly . Cheers
This looks like something that would be at the end of a classic codex to showcase the army. Nice.
Eric feels like the Bob Ross of Warhammer
Saintly light surrounding background, wearing dark monk hoodie sets the tone for this video once again for info. Breached wall is such a great idea..
Great video. The relaxed style on KZread is an oasis. Excellent tips and attention to detail. Looking forward to the Titan progress. You kicked off a lot of ideas for me, appreciate it.
Lighting looking much better on the talking head section. Good job!
A fortification worthy of Dorn himself.
These are really fab! Reminds me of Warhammer (40k) Siege games back in the 90's!
this is fantastically great excellent build and video. With the skills I've learned from this video i gonna make me a fortress
That looks sick on your new desert table!!!!
Looks great! Now, it just needs a little "Flash" I'm sure some friendly local Orks will help with that Nearby Warboss: "Dem beakies is so nice, makin me up a cozy lil Fort. Fink I'll name it "Kamp Krusha" once I mash up da tin can humies inside"
"I have ideas to do some chaos add-ons that will fit well with my Night Lords army." - Talos approves of this post.
All you need is some awesome siege implements for those ramparts... some gun-line defenses, gun and ammo racks/caches, radar or comms array. Even better if they are modular. Maybe add some grates here and there and pipes. They always go well in sheer concrete buildings.
I love castle terrain so much for some reason lmao this is awesome
"utilize" implies the use is actually not the intended one; the verb means "to make utile". For example, you _utilized_ insulation foam to sculpt model walls.
Emil and Dave humbly request more chaos. with much love from the shrine of chaos!
This is the tutorial I have been waiting for! Looks simple but really neat at the same time! Thank you for the inspiration!

Your dry sense of humor works perfectly.

I used to work in a vending machine factory and I used a caulking gun every day. Had no idea you could release the pressure with that lever
Pinkies way up for utilize! Great video as always!!!
Blood Angels best Chapter choice!
I've been building a blood angels army and I guess that algorithmed me to this video but man is this amazing. I can't wait to settle down a bit and really get to build something like this for my own games.
Gonna have to make one of these for my Flesh Tearers. I'll put "Cretaceous Park" over the gate.
Nice system for the walls. I like things that are modular. Thanks for the tip on the caulking gun. Hopefully I will remember this the next time I use one.
This is CRAZY COOL! So impressed. My dream to make something like this.

I’m reading Apocalypse right now, which features Imperial Fists preparing for a siege. Definitely helped me get in the mood!
The lighting behind your head makes you look like some kind of saint of DIY terrain, I choose to believe it was an intentional artistic choice. Keep up the great work :)
Dude I'm loving your new background and audio setup - crisp! Even have a Real Terrain Hobbies-esque tracking shot!
As always, nice utilisation of a sand reference.
All ot needs is a trip to the bitz box; Imperify it up with a few aquilas, add a some skulls; maybe even a reliquary built in above the gate with the bones of some of the honored dead in it. Maybe even a few purity seal attached to the gates themselves.
What a good job, it gave me ideas to do something similar for my Ultramarines army and complete my strength of my Astra Militarum army.
You are a great artisan. For Sanguine For the Emperor. Love your channel.
By the blood of Baal, this is perfect!
Thank you for this video, I have watched it like 15 times now and continue to learn new things each time. I won't roast you but I have always been taught that the word "utilize" simply means using something in a way not originally intended, where as "use" means to employ as originally intended. Example - I use a paint brush to add paint vs I utilize a paint brush to clean lint out of a vent. Hope that helps, as your videos so awesome!
No roasting, that door looks sweet AF, and the locking system is inspired. Awesome work Eric.
You make a good Job , well done . Greetings from Germany.
that hexagon trick was really cool, very mathematical!
Man, I really enjoy the flow of your videos. They‘re always so relaxing while yielding really awesome results!

The thought occurs that you could make this piece compatible with loads of different factions (Imperial and Chaos ones, anyway) just by making several different doorway sections with different iconography (plus add-ons, but we know Eric's making a bunch of those already).
I am so excited to see see this all play out. I've dreamt of building some form of the Fang so it is really cool to see a chapter fort coming together. I can't wait for the next installment! Thank you for sharing!
