Step-by-step planting a miniature succulent garden in a chunk of hollow wood found in the firewood pile. This is an easy and relaxing DIY project. All you need is an access to this kind of wood and a sufficient outdoor space to build and place it. Or you can do a similar project indoors, only with a smaller piece of wood. You can use a piece of driftwood instead of a hollow log. Propagating succulents you already have is an easy task, or you can get a selection of new ones specifically for this kind of project. With this video I hope to inspire you to build and enjoy more gardens.

and the deer already have eaten the central piece - impatiens😬 ... it's August not much green left around here in NorCal Foothills. Fortunately, deer don't touching the succulents.... yet
