Turning a log into a planter // DIY
Found this old piece pf log at my father's farm. It was too small for a table and the shape was too odd for a stool. So I decided to turn it into a planter. It turned out looking very good with the succulent plants.

Belo trabalho !!
So pretty
What did you put into the wood to make it look better and I assume more resistant?? (The thing you applied like it was paint)
I have a Couple of questions. 1- why you didnt drilled holes for the Water to drain? 2- we need to put some rocks at the bottom? 3- I have logs which has 50 mm diameter so I cant use the chisel you used. What kind of chisel you advice for narrow diametered logs?

I'm looking for a tree log like this to plant my orchids.
What was the coating you put on the log?
Why not a hole saw?
What finish did you use?
Weird methods - why do all that work to make the holes vs just buying a home saw bit? Does not clearly show sealant (its “Nippon Paint Hydro wood” for those that don’t want to pause on the one frame it’s clearly shown).
Stodoys is nice for that.
All of my woodworks I am making with woodprix. Google and try it.
I heard about woodprix instructions good opinions.
I made it with Woodprix plans!
