So glad I watched this video again! Went to the range yesterday for the first time. I hit a number of good shots, but hit too many "fat shots". Finally figured out I was subconsciously hitting with my right hand! I thought I remembered Moe talking about NOT using his right hand. The lead in video was exactly what I was looking for when Moe said he did nothing with his right hand, but instead pulled through with his left hand/arm! Thanks Moe, and thanks Todd. This swing is the answer to the absolutely best swing I have ever read about, or watched being taught!

I was taught to keep my feet “straight,” because it would help me build torque in my swing. The end result…it ruined my left hip to the point that I needed a total hip replacement surgery. I’m glad Todd pointed this out about about the feet.

I know it in my heart that he spent a lot of time alone, ball after ball, dissecting everything possible. It is the only way I figured out how to make the game easy. The second I started saying..."screw what they're telling me to do"...I started hitting with heart and passion. Seeing these videos on Moe make me smile. It really is about perseverance and looking at the game intelligently. Whatever intelligent may be perceived as. Maybe I should just start making videos of me hitting ball after ball, straight as an arrow. It seems that no one out there can do it repeatedly.

Do you use this one plane method?

@@pickles216 No. I use Mike Austins method. I hit my driver an average of 355 now and my 7 iron about 215 or so. I know I have more in it, but I like swinging easy. There is NOTHING like releasing the club from the "dominant" side. Once you realize that your dominant side plays the most significant role, your game changes and I mean fast! I like Moes approach simply because he made it his own. More people need to follow Moes commitment .... and less trying to be someone else.

@@NonnyStrikes wow that’s great! Thank you for responding back. I play left handed. Which is just the way I played hockey and felt comfortable. I plan on trying what I picked up from these videos. Thanks again

@@pickles216 Don't be afraid to try gripping club in different ways. What looks like square to you for a clubface might not be... it gets tricky and I think that's what messes most people up...how the club looks at address.

@@NonnyStrikes ok yes I am trying to grip differently I’m just able to practice swinging for now hopefully by Sunday or Monday I can get to the range. It’s funny when you mentioned Mike Austin, I went and looked him up and 1st video I found had a comment from yourself lol so it kinda gave me the feeling to check out more from him as well and thank you for mentioning his name. I appreciate the advice and info.

Dear Todd. How do you guarantee that you return to the same body tilt as for address when you take back the club since you seem to break the tilt in the take back motion. Thx

When coming into impact on the bag do you recommend sweeping the club on the mat to imitate contact with the turf on the course, this would give you an accurate feel of the depth of your swing.

Great question.... We like to hover the club in the middle of the bag and make impact in this same spot. It is more about training & feeling the proper body position at impact rather than hitting the turf behind the bag. It's never sweeping-always a downward angle of attack into impact. Sweeping would indicate an early release, which we don't want. One thing Todd didn't mention in this video is exactly where we like to place the bag. If you notice he is also using our Alignment & Ball Position Trainer, which has an indicator for Iron Ball Position (IBP). We like to put the back edge of the leverage bag slightly behind that IBP mark so that it simulates impact when you compress the bag. A good rule of thumb is placing the top strap on the bag directly in line with IBP. After a few hits, reposition the bag to that spot. As far as determining consistent contact, you could either use the center of the "G" logo on the side of the bag as a reference when you check your impact position, or even try placing impact tape on the bag. But the main thing is to focus on achieving the correct position with your body, which will then ensure proper contact with the ball. Moe Norman always said he's not swinging at the ball, he's swinging through the ball. The ball is just in the way of his body motion. Making a few swings with the bag, then hitting a golf ball will help you transfer that proper feeling from training to ball-striking. The leverage bag is a way to get feedback about the position of your body at impact. The checkpoints are as follows: +flexed lead knee +both feet on the ground +hips rotated open +torso rotated slightly open +hands leading +trail arm slightly bent +head in line with the back edge of the bag We would love to help you more by seeing your swing on video or seeing you train with the leverage bag inside of our Gold Membership! Question about the alignment trainer, on amazon it is stated that both the short game and long game trainers are the same width (26 inches) but seeing them in the back that cannot be right. could you clarify what the dimensions of the long game alignment trainer is for plane luggage

Sorry about the confusion. The Alignment & Ball Position Trainer for full swing is 33 inches long, up to 3 inches wide at the trail foot end, with 1 inch depth. It weighs just under 1lb. Below is a link to training videos and more info about the trainer. Also included below is a link to our full swing training kit with the ABT included.
