Buick Turbo T Type G Body Project Rusty Wallace gets first bath and the engine cranks

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

We clean the moss off the Buick Turbo T Type and see if the engine will turn over. Hasn't run in 10 years. Hasn't had a bath in 20. #grandnational #ttype #turbobuick #barnfinds #buick #Rustywallace

PLEASE tell me that you drained the old gasoline out of the fuel tank, flushed it out, changed the furl filter. There is a white wire with a green connector to jump the fuel pump and run the fuel pump to circulate the fuel rail. Odds are there is a TON of varnish in the fuel system... Probably have to replace (and upgrade) the fuel pump and in-tank fuel sock. I noticed that the LED tachometer and boost gauge seem to be pegged on cranking. I think Casper's Electronics can repair and recalibrate those units. The original electronics were open to atmosphere, and corrosion plays heck with them.

Drained the old fuel. Actually sucked it out. No rust but it was bad varnish. . Replaced with new. The fuel pump is done. Need to drop tank and replace next. Prob a new tank or try to seal it if it’s not too bad.

That's going to be a nice ride when you get her right. I've always loved the 85' to 87' Regal's in all trim levels. Pretty much all the Gbodies from 85' to 87'. Monte Carlo SS, Grand Prix, El Camino, Cutlass all of them. They rode nice. Except for the Grand NTionals and the T-Types they we dogs. Lol

My first car was an 87 cutlass supreme. With a 307. Slowest car in the world but I loved it.

It was my brothers car. Only cost 29 years of begging. He gave it to me so I can try to resurrect it. Been collecting parts for 3 months. About to get going on it.

This one is a 85 t type. With a wh1 paint code. Rare but not the most desirable because it’s a hot air car. No intercooler. I have a brand new intercooler set up for mine illl be adding soon.
