but then its who chokes who first right? or does the Flue win out because of better leverage?

Could the bottom player sweep you over as you come up to the tripod? Or would they not have enough leverage to do that? Thanks for the video!

I got put into a buggy choke twice at my first tournament - didn't get submitted (i was able to sit up and wait until he got tired since he was holding the submission and himself up at the same time), but it was frustrating to get back into the same position from what i felt was a dominant position and have to wait him out. Is there a reason not to pick them up? Definitely gonna try this next time.

Sometimes it can be tiring to pick them up and some people just hold on forever. If you're worried about the buggy from side control, just take your forearm across the hip, it'll act as a block and it'll make it difficult for them to buggy

Was this an escape or did your partner let go. Also, your opponent did not connect the arms, which would eliminate the movement.

This is a good escape but you have to watch out for the buggy choke switching to a darce
@nickortizjiujitsu
11 ай бұрын
That's a great point, the good news is that you're aware of the darce switch, so you can continue your defensive cycle by escaping the darce as well. Not the easiest situation but doable

Even with their hands locked, you can always tri pod and change the orientation of your position. So always put your head down and walk to north south.
