Buggy Choke The World feat. Rene Sousa
Спорт
Rene Sousa is a 10th Planet brown belt under Zach Maslany and is a master of the tricky submission; the Buggy Choke. A former Division III collegiate wrestler, Sousa was one of the 16 contestants on FloGrappling’s reality TV show, Who’s Next.
This interview was filmed in December 2022, I had the pleasure to sit down and interview Rene. Sousa goes into his experience with getting caught in the submission and eventually taps many competitors at a high-level competition.
Hope you enjoy the video.

What do you think of the Buggy Choke? Let me know if you enjoyed this interview format
This channel has taught me some of the coolest moves and when you actually hit one you're on cloud nine. I still remember the first buggy I hit (not that there's a large selection) and feeling so excited for days after. Glad you're back. Another awesome video

The thing about this is...(speaking of real life situations, not competition)only a certain size of opponent will get caught in this, before you're over extended just to attempt it, and the more they weigh, the more that slam will hurt or knock the wind out of you, just hope they're seeing stars by time they try. That being said, every tool you have in your belt, is one more they have to worry about.
I did this with a similar move in wrestling
Great format. I think it would be perfect if coupled with a little breakdown/demo of the technique after the interview. Why not make your way on the other side of the camera this way?
