They compared the Chiron to the Miata... does that mean I drive a hypercar?

They compared the Chiron's horsepower output to the Miata to give us an idea. He wouldn't dare compare those 2 cars.

True. Could be worse... Like this would be a loss of $2,599,000 more than the Miata. So I'd say my buddy is ahead, right?
A bit disappointed that Alex didn't review it.

Despite all of the shit going on in our World, this is a great time to be alive as an auto enthusiast! We're witnessing engineering at it's finest!

I agree and disagree. The price of every iconic car has skyrocketed because there's to much electronic money around and the gap between rich and poor has become medieval, so it's argueably harder than ever before to actually obtain your dreamcar. As far as technology and safety goes we're at the pinnacle, but performance wise a Mclaren F1 is still faster than this 3million$ VW bug around a track. Not that anyone is ever going to take one of these to a track (except Chris Harris and maybe 1-2 other journalists). So it's engineering at its' finest (luxury/technology/safety wise not performance) combined with the worst situation in the car market and performance wise powerful lightweight cars still dominate and Aston Martin is going to prove that with their Valkyrie. As a performance enthusiast I'd say that 99,9% of the new cars are just garbage.

+アマ McLaren F1 requires skills to full enjoy this performance meaning it was essentially a race car for road considering the lack of assisting system that would become mandated compared to its competitions i.e. Ferrari F50, Bugatti EB110 to name a few. The road version was handful at cornering meaning it was made for high speed in mind. Veyron was to show what manufacturers at that time thought were impossible: 1000hp capable of doing 400 km/h and easy to drive like a normal car. Chiron took what makes Veyron standing out and pushed it further as a two tons hyper grand touring that can corner quicker as described by the review. In the history of racing, Audi was able to pull that trick with their heavy AWD 80 sedan before it was banned from the touring race competition for unfair advantage. In other word, do not underestimate Chiron cornering.

it's a guy from Cnet on cars/ Roadshow... since he's managing editor... I guess he said ok Alex sorry I'm going! If you watched Cnet on cars, they always talked about Xcars before it became Carfection. Now we know that if Xcar change to Carfection (why?) it's still part of Cnet/Roadshow.

James Fonda he works for Cnet which is the American side of Carfection. I do have to say that I hate how he says Chiron, but I do like Tim as a presenter. I do agree that Alex would have made this review sound ethereal.

So I guess Top Gear won't be the first after all, unlike what Chris Harris said last Sunday. On the other hand, I'm sure he has a lot more interesting things to say and I expect him to push this car to its limits, unlike this presenter, who seems to have been a little overwhelmed by the car.

Top Gear is shot way before hand, so Chris Harris was probably the first one to drive it. The clips in studio are recorded like one week before while all the car review stuff is shot threw out the year leading to the series.

I tend to agree with a large portion of the comments on here. There is a degree of class and style that Alex exudes that leaves you dreaming about even the most mundane aspects of a car for days after you've watched the video. That 'special' sauce was just missing for me here - although still compared to a vast majority of other videos on the net, it was a great one ! The guys with the cameras and the guys in editing really know what they're doing ! Well done
This new host is fantastic! Great review all around!
Good first review mate. Keep it up. It doesn't seem like a full on performance review so fingers crossed for the future!
Congrats on the first ever review of the Chiron, I hope there will be more... 👍👍👍
Not the guy to review this. He rushes and doesn't have breaks. There's no calmness in his presentation to such a review. Seeing this is the first video review of this car, this reviewers doesn't give Carfection XCarFilms any justice. Alex is who we needed.
They really did knock the design out of the park. It looks so good from any angle.
Man, I'm still getting used to you reviewing cars on here lol. I've heard your voice on the engadget podcast for YEARS. Great review btw. Nicely done.
Great review. Quality filming too. All round top video.
Carfection, you just pissed on your brand but having this guy do the review instead of the bold guy!!!
First chiron video on KZread and it just 7 minutes. Perfect
Keep going carfection
Thank you Carfection for the Carrection ;)
Awesome review! And after a lot of negative comments, Tim did great IMO!
Love the vid. Awesome car. Awesome backdrop. Awesome review. Awesome reviewer
That tracking shot at the end is amazing.

Such a perfect vid 👌🏽
Goodness me 500 kmh on the speedo! So insane! Thanks for the review.
LOVE the body-colored wheels and interior.
it's an amazing machine. good job and take care my guy
You know that 7 minutes of this aren't enough, RIGHT?!?
Matt, Alex and Chris Harris need a show of their own..! Just imagine the trio, each reviewing a certain aspect of a car, and then the banter !
that engine sound is perfect. Never heard anything better
THIS car seems to say 'Classic Bugatti is Back!" Ahead of the curve styling harks back to company origins, power is 'over the top' AND the interior is something special. This is an exemplary touring car as well as something to pay track fees and study fees to drive all out.
this is the first real review of any modern bugatti. I've not seen one anyway,a little more in depth would of been even better but still congratulations
Apparently it goes almost 300 mph but it is electronically limited to a lower speed
@HMHacki

Ninja Chipmunk it whont physics deny that... Engineering explained actually did a video where he roughly calculates how much more power it would need. pity though since theb speedo goes to 500km/h or ~308 in black and white :D on the other Hand the Veyron had a cw value like a house and they say this is mouch better. I have no actual number but if it where to be seriously good like .28 or something it could happen! But sadly cooling 1500hp adds a lot of drag
They call it the world's fastest concert hall because it weighs just as much.
holy shit, amazing video! Love this car, just epic!

I enjoyed the review! Remarkable car.
Glad to be one of the first people to see this video.
That long single red LED light in the rear should look killer at night when you pull up behind this car. Like a spaceship on wheels.
This dude was decent on Engadget. Glad he's in board with carfection.
Technique meets art👍
Escoural, Évora - Portugal / Just the perfect road and landscape for a sports car review!
Good show, beautifully shot. I've always liked Tim Stevens, imho he is the most reserved of the American reviewers and certainly did a fine job here.
Those blue wheels look sick!
Nice review, very nice in fact as for the Chiron . . . "Hey buddy can you spare a dime" Dang dude, this bit of automotive engineering is sweet
Very nice, amazing car!
Another superbly presented Carfection review! Not massively keen on the blue that the Chiron is presented in, but still a very impressive vehicle.
Quite an unspectacular review for such a spectecular vehicle.
What magnificent style.
Your videos are awesome, can you please upload in 4k it would be so much better. Stay awesome
Bugatti got the styling onnl this spot on!
very well done

That's correct because it's named after Louis Chiron a racing driver from Monaco and that's how his name is pronounced. Louis Chiron (1899 - 1979) was the oldest man ever to have raced in Formula 1 having taken 6th place in the 1955 Monaco Grand Prix at the age of 55. ( The Veyron was also named after a racing driver, Pierre Veyron.) Chiron won the 1931 Monaco Grand Prix the only driver from Monaco ever to win his home race. He also won the French Grand Prix twice, the Marseille GP, the Spanish GP, the Spa 24 hours and finished 7th in the 1929 Indianapolis 500.
No Alex no party! Still a good and enjoyable review :)
best job ever!!
Nice!!
Bugatti. Teaching lessons since 1909.
Where was this filmed? I feel like I`ve seen these roads before, but I can`t exactly pinpoint where
Saabkyle did a review of the Chiron several months back, though he didn't drive it.
very calm and simple car vid. narration, videography. not much hectice/extravagant bs. can you add drone shots? thanks
one of the most anticipated reviews on this channel and yet the production quality is lower compared to their other reviews. And also you should put your best guy to review cars like this.
Not to take away from this gentleman, but whenever I see a review that Alex is not doing, I can't help feel a bit disappointed
America comes in for the win with the first Chiron video!!
Awesome, wick the boost up!
masterpiece
Belissmas imagens,parabens.
The Buganni Sherown is a piece of engineering excellence. I can't wait for this technology trickle down into the VW Passat.
That car is something else.
The beauty of this car is that when you need servicing, it can be done at Jiffy Lube !!
I aint seein this review without Alex.
I can't believe the first video review of the Chiron featured someone I've never heard of before... also, he reviewed this car basically like one would review any AMG Merc, not one of the most powerful and fastest cars in the world.
i never was a bugatti fan (except the really old ones) but i was in munich and ffound the bugatti store. (i didn't even know they had stores) and i saw the chiron with my own eyes. and was even allowed to sit in it. They guy working there is awesome. but the car in live... it looks just so much better then on video. and litteraly everything inside and outside of the car is perfect. i would daily that car. they say it is like a golf if you want.
I nearly fell asleep and a Chiron is being reviewed, guy didn't make it seem like an occasion at all
