On the bright side, that's a lovely stainless bucket you have there.

It was £12 from ebay.... it can go on the stovetop for heating water for washing clothes and bodies when at anchor. Only just started going rusty - might try a brillo pad.

Is that a nice new shiny dinghy I see? Perhaps after visiting Mr Seedhouse’s yard?

Ideal boat for the Scillies if you get those beaching legs sorted out.

Are you preventative treating the diesel?

megadosing it. I think it is old residue moving off the walls - ... but I do not know how much crud is on the walls of the tank - no inspection hatch.

@@KeepTurningLeft bummer that there is no hatch so you can get in and clean out the tank properly. that outboard will be fine as long as the seas aren't up or are not needing to get across a overfall/rapid. Could be a motor injector mess if that tank is churned up. is the tank even easily removed? or like so many fiberglass boats put in place before other items installed so essentially you need to remove 1/2 the boat to get it out?

I took out my old metal tank in the Centaur years ago in favour of a plastic tank with an inspection hatch and wow, the crap in the bottom of the diesel tank looked like the remnants of all you can eat tacos and tequila night😆
