Breaking swipe nerf was very sad for all pokemon who had it. They didn't test how good steelix with breaking swipe would be so many pokemon including haxorus and rayquaza and helioptile suffered from it. Especially since breaking swipe was legacy for haxorus

they can easily balance the breaking swipe issue by making it always debuff when used by dragon type pokemon. that way, it retains the power it should give to both rayquaza and haxorus, while making steelix as it is now, more balanced.

1. Some non-dragons really need the guaranteed debuff (like Heliolisk), 2. Do you trust Niantic to correctly code this? It would be a new battle function and I'm surprised they got the Obstruct coding correct.

R.I.P Rayquaza(and breaking swipe)

With the Fire Spin buff Dialga can't make a Draco and an Iron Head, so just farm it down after the first Magma Storm, if you're going to commit the shield, like you played it out several times. Dialga gets KO'd by the final Fire Spin before it gets to the Draco, if they try to bait. Then you have energy to get shields back. If you struggle against Reshiram safe switch, since you have the energy lead, just throw the Stone Edge. With a one Fire Spin lead, you will outpace them to the Fusion Flare, and either the Stone Edge gets the shield or the damage. Either way, your Dragons in the back have better match ups then. Baiting with Magma Storm was a lose con in those battles. Most people expect Iron Head over Stone Edge.

I was using rayquaza today as well. Proably the last time I use it lol 0 debuffs and it’s so fragile

Rayquaza learns icy wind in the main series games so they can give it that as a replacement and it learns shadow claw so icy wind shadow claw is really good. With shadow claw and icy wind it has a rating of 553 I think

All they have to do is to buff the stuff that crushes Steelix or walls it (Doubt it survives in Poliwrath and Talonflame meta anyways)

@@mrex666productions7 they doubled down too much. Psychic nerf 2.0 was unneeded since things that beat medi were buffed, and stuff that beat steelix were buffed (poliwrath, talon, etc.) so it would've made things balanced

Man, the Rayquaza nerf really stings when it now becomes a coinflip to get debuffs, making outcomes inconsistent/luck dependent. I barely see it anymore & haxorus fell off completely. Been running triple flyer (Lugia,Ho-Oh,Rayquaza) and it gets very good success. In my experience, having Dragon Ascend on Ray still being a consistent nuke option still can put in work! Thought something I noticed, I've seen so many Ho-Oh leads(7 in a row today), Shadow TTar vid return?👀

Imho Niantic has to make it right for hard nerfing Rayquaza and soft nerfing Lugia (honorable mention for Haxorus and Metagross)

Dnite is a useful one for the mirror. Can also best buddy heatran to guarantee cmp win vs best buddy xern (Heatran normally wins cmp, but best buddy xern can win it)

They shouldn't have given Breaking Swipes to everyone, maybe just Rayray.

Has anyone else faced an opponent that doesn't seem to need to wait out their timer before switching again?

Some people do that to deny the opponent switch timer lock. Because if you wait out the clock it also gives the opponent time as well and sometimes it can be advantageous to not wait out the timer to deny them a free full 10 seconds to switch out especially if you know they switched in recently. It works because if you anticipate an opponent could catch a move to win or switch lock them not waiting the timer can be a good thing if you plan on trying to over farm as well.

@NepNeppy thanks for the reply, yes I know the general tactics. I have 7k+ wins in GBL. What I'm talking about is someone who was able to switch out again before their timer should have been up, almost like they were using a cheat to get it to finish sooner. I have no idea if that is possible at present in pogo. It reminded me of the cheat where players could see opponents' entire teams at the start of a battle. I hard countered them all the way through and only missed a single charge move when they swapped out way too soon, and yet lost with them still having 2 pokemon left which is crazy, haven't seen it like that before.

Really looked like Rayquaza was a hindrance here. It’s likely watching those videos where someone uses something extremely spicy that’s really bad. Sad to see that ML gets ruined due to GL and UL Pokémon constantly with Lugia and now Rayquaza being hardly anything of their former selves. Think I’d have any luck asking for a refund on a charged TM since I used one on my Ray for BS?

Seems like Master League these seasons is just build a team that beats Dialga because it seems like 90% of your matches that you feature always have an opponent using one.
