Budweiser Clydesdales on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, CA

sorry for the less than ideal video quality. i was on my way to get something to eat and saw these guys out in front of the px, so i decided to stop and take a look, and my phone was the only camera i had on me. the reason that it looks all warped is because the wind was blowing kinda hard so i used youtube's video stabilizer thing and it messed with the whole video. anyway, i hope you enjoy!

Wow 😯 Magnificent Budweiser Clydesdale!
One word for these magnificent horses. Magestic !!!!
Grew up in Fife,Scotland, where our native horse is the Clydesdale and had the good fortune to work on the farm with these beautiful, gentle creatures.Sad that we no longer see them.

Bill Livingstone, the Clydesdale horse, of today, is not native to Scotland. The original Clydesdale farm horse was bred with the English Black Horse (Shire) to create what is now the Clydesdale horse today. 90% of the Clydesdale horses of today are in the USA. I have an 8-year-old Shire mare and I know both breeds history quite well.
My cousin was/is (once a Marine, always a Marine) stationed there and I happened to be there visiting him with my family when they did this! What a sight!! They are gorgeous!!!! The dog up there - gotta love him too! Not to worry, Jon - it's still a great video!! I'll never forget it.
I love the dog sitting at the top looking around like "yea , I got this!"

Of course... He's a Dalmatian!
Me too. The dog. But these beautiful Clydesdales...so magnanimous, gracious and filled with wonder
Loved watching MY GENTLE GIANTS AT CAMP PENDLETON in Calif. Keep up the good work. !!!
Jon Bird No apology needed at all! Such a great look at the careful, precise dismantling of the Gentle Giants after a "parade," and with the beautiful Dalmation overseeing all! Thanks eversomuch. 3/2/21
Thank you, Jon, for taking the opportunity to vid this at a Marine base!
I love the Clydesdales and have been lucky enough to see them several times. They are so beautiful.

Me, too! Grew up in Champaign, IL, loving family horses/All horses. Was so Blessed over the years to see the spectacular Clydesdales at several special events at the University of Illinois.
Most well cared for/most loved horses on earth.
Thanks for putting the flag on the wagon!
Just watched the CLYDESDALES visiting the elders in the nursing home..lifting everyone's spirits was wonderful to see life and LOVE AS THEY PATTED THOSE GENTLE GIANTS.."miss clara" ps wasn't allowed to comment there so I am doing it now..
Wind was strong but I'm pretty sure I heard the Dalmatian calling cadence, "Your left, your right, your left, right o' left"
They are such magnificent horses; there used to be a parade in Wisconsin with the Clydesdales, & I always went early, so I could be near enough to see them up close. I looked forward to it, every year. Unfortunately, they don't do it any more. Sigh...
I've never seen them in person , thanks for the wonderful video 🐴

I was lucky enough to see them in person in Tampa Bay. I'm 5'4" and they were easily doubled my size. Beautiful babies
Majestic!
That would be so awesome to see going down the street beautiful.
The Clydesdale hitch was sent there to show new Marine recruits just how to march in public.....Semper Fi...!

As the mom of a Marine--who was at Camp Pendleton for a while--I can't wait to send this to him in a couple of minutes. Can see the eye-roll now. ;-)

@@virginialawler7725 When you said 'eyeroll', I had to laugh. My son, an ex Navy officer, *hates* when I do that.
The reason for the Dalmatian dog is originally meant for firefighting wagons. The dog's job was to keep the horse's calm and keep onlookers away from the horses while firefighters were doing their jobs. Their black/white coloring made them easy to see day/night as well. This dog's name is Tracy.
I was able to get up close and personal with these beauties in 2013 in Nashville and also on base at Fort Campbell Ky.
Magnificent animals!
Thanks, Jon Bird... :D
I found myself looking for their handlers, and there they were walking alongside.
Their not built for speed, but strength, powerful, majestic.
Beautiful animals ❤
Any body else notice that left front wheel in comparison to the other three wheels. It was crooked on the turn. None of the others acted like that. Maybe the wheel is loose in its attachment to the wagon.
When they travel to the shows, do the sleep in the trailers or do they have barn facilities that accommodate them?
WHAT MCAS BASE IS THIS AT ???? IVE LIVED AT TWO CAMP LEJEUNE MCAS JVILLE NC 🎁 ALSO KANEOHE MCAS ON OAHU HAWAII 🎁SEMPER FI 👊💐🎁💝
When did the beer barrels get replaced by cases?
