I am 67 yrs old and at 4 ys of age I fell in love with the Budwiser Clydedales when they came to my home town. It must have been one of the first teams. I became separated from my father and he found me inside a stall hugging one of a Clydes' legs. I have never lost the love for these horses I felt that day.

No, Tina, You"re not the only one to get teary eyed. It's awesome to me that these horses weigh so very much but can still jump over fences, run like they're colts & be so attuned to their trainer's commands at the same time! I haven't been lucky enough in my lifetime to have gotten to see and touch them as you have, but I am sure that if I did, my reaction would be the same as yours. And the trainers! How excellent they must be to get these huge guys to listen and obey commands so well! I think the trainers are as gifted & talented as the horses. Check out the vid here on youtube.com where the Clydesdales are pulling the Budweiser wagon in an arena & get tangled up & confused. They looked like it was an impossible mess, but they listened to everything their driver asked them to do without balking, no panic, just total faith & trust that their driver would direct them out of it all. It was a beautiful thing to see.

Friend of a friend was the team driver and I got to meet the Clydesdales harnessed for the Budweiser wagon. Was allowed to pet the horses and got to feed each one a carrot (I came prepared with a bag of carrots). An experience I will never forget. Such beautiful and majestic carrots. This was around 1978.

Well done to all on the training and media team as it takes a LOT to get the two to work together effectively. And a HUGE thank you to Budweiser for supporting this operation. IF YOU EVER GET THE CHANCE TO BE WITH THESE MAGNIFICENT ANIMALS, DO SO . . . . The videos and pictures you see anywhere do not do justice to them! They are truly amazing in their ability, grace, dexterity! What so few people ever get to appreciate is with all these talents and their groomed beauty as a noble animal ... THEY ARE HUGE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Next time you see them with another "regular" horse, note the size comparison ! ! ! ! They are truly Mind-Boggling Amazing Animals !!!

most people don't understand how extremely, extremely hard this is - not only that, but how much work goes into training. It makes my head hurt. My friend worked on the movie with the racing zebra (I believe it's called Racing Stripes) anyway, I've seen her work with her own horses at her own farm. These people have my utmost respect!

Most people don't understand how intelligent and loving these animals are. I owned several horses when I was younger and they were the love of my life. A horse will literally die for you. They form a bond that can never be broken. I enjoyed every moment I owned them, even though they almost ate me out of house and home.

Amazing! Clydesdale horses aren't normally built for jumping, they were bred to pull heavy wagons and plows on farms. I remember when I used to ride, there was beautiful black Clydesdale named Prince, he was such a gorgeous horse.

Do you know how much it costs to feed a Clydesdale? Trust me, its a lot. I always wanted one since I was a kid and growing up on a farm, I thought it would be cool. Then I worked out how much they eat etc. More than I can make in a year.

I had the opportunity to go to stable with a team of the Budweiser horses, they were in Charleston, West Virginia and been in a parade there and then driven down the highway about five miles to the stable, we were allowed to follow them in and actually help unharnessed them and played with the dog! It was a amazing experience, I was a horse owner, but being with these magnificent horses was a experience I will never forget!
