    Keep on taking advantage of those garage sales and one day you'll hit the mother lode collection. One bulk buy will help immensely. Keep up the good work.

    I will definitely go to more garage sales in the future. I just have not had a lot of time on the weekends recently but will in a few weeks. After I get a few more sales and have some cash piled up, I can hit a whole lot of places for inventory. Thanks for the tip and the support.

    Just found your channel. Enjoyed the vid. Want to go back and see how this all started 70+ days ago. Should be fun to watch the journey. Thanks for sharing your spreadsheet. It's always nice to see what tools others are using. Pretty similar to the one created when I started back in January of this year.

    Thanks for the support. It has been a fun road with some bumps along the way. I am trying to just get a little bit better every week. Everyone starts somewhere and this series will show that. Eventually we will get into other sources of revenue to add on to reselling. Someone from the comments requested that I made it shareable, so I did. If I can do something like that and it helps people, I am all for it. I think people should do that more often, the world would probably be a better place. Thanks for the comment. I appreciate it.

    It was not a big deal. You suggested that I share the spreadsheet, so I did. If people want something that I have like this, it is not hard to provide that. It only took me a couple of minutes to adjust to templates and post it somewhere. Thanks for the comment, I appreciate the support.

    Go for it. It is worth a shot. Just start small and see what you can build. I think reselling is great for anyone who wants to try being an entrepreneur. It gives you experience in all areas of business that you could use for other ventures or just some extra cash on the side. Thanks for the comment.

    Don't rush it. The size of your store is not important. Growing the sales and not the inventory is the goal. I have been doing this for years and I hover at 1000 items with an average 3 mo. turnover of 500 sales. I only have the $20 a month store and it saves me on those fees alone. Plus storage and organization can become an issue if you all of a sudden grow to fast. Good luck in the journey.

    Thanks for the tips, I am going to build it slowly. I think the goal would be to get to 1,000 to 2,000 items is the size that I would want to build to. Then just sustain it. I will then take any additional profit and add addition sources of revenue. Those different sources will determine by the amount of capital available. Thanks for the comment.

    I'll go to your store and buy something. My sales have been slow too. I have only been averaging like 2 or 3 sales a day.

    Thanks for the support, but you don't have to do that. I have a small store, only 76 items. It will grow over time. Any money that I make will be used to continually buy new inventory. This channel will document how it grows over time. Thanks for the comment.

    Question from one of your last videos: when you say your Accounts Payable is yourself is that so you know your break even point?

  • @Revenue_Quest

    @Revenue_Quest

    Ай бұрын

    Not exactly, in accounting for every transaction you have debits and credits. Since I had wanted to buy all the supplies I needed, there needed to be a credit account that needed to "Pay" for these transactions. It is basically acting as a debt account to make sure the supplies are accounted for without deducting them from Cash. The Accounts Payable are just holding this debt. There are other debt accounts I could have used but I thought this was the easiest way. This is the definition of what Accounts Payables is "Accounts payable are short-term credit obligations purchased by a company for products and services from their suppliers. At the corporate level, accounts payable refers to short-term debt payments due to suppliers. Accounts payable is a liability since it is a debt" I could have listed it as short term or long-term debt but wanted to place it there since it was essentially all for supplies. This may be a long-winded answer but hope it helps. Thanks for the support.

    Saw a couple say there goal is to post 500$ in items a day

  • @Revenue_Quest

    @Revenue_Quest

    That is an ambitious goal. I am just trying to get to 2 items a day. I guess if you are doing 10 to 15 items a day, you could get that much value, but that is 70 to 105 items a week. My whole store is only 76 items, and I have been going for 90 days. If they have been doing it a while, it's possible. Just starting out, that would be very difficult. Thanks for the comment.
