Budget Friendly LED Lekos? 😱🧐 TESTING the Shehds VW and RGBW
Ойын-сауық
FYI - I purchased the Variable White version myself here amzn.to/4cgBofm and Shehds then sent me a RGBW version for testing. I do not have to send that light back, but they did not have any input in this review.

Thanks for the review! I was wondering about this exact unit for a potential upgrade! Glad to know I could buy some used lens tubes of Ebay or something and get a wider angle. 😁
I suspect that if you open the ellipsoidal barrel you will find that you can rearrange the lenses to change the beam angle. The barrel is a cast metal piece and casting different parts for different beam angles is expensive for the manufacturer. So the manfacturer makes one cast part that supports the differenet beam angles.
Thanks Ryland! Following you for quite some time now!
Nice review my friend!
Nice B-Roll! Agreed on fan noise. Also, the yoke clamp on the side isn't the strongest, so using an ETC lens tube will stress that mechanical fitting. Having DMX control is super important for this fixture, as the ones I have used do not express color temp as degrees K. There is room for manufacturer improvement, but still a good budget light.
It's very exciting to find the lens tubes fit, because that had ruled them out for me as I'm using 19 and 26 degree tubes right now.

Nice! Yes the one I tested with was the 19 degree for a 750.
I unplug the fans from everything chinese i buy. It’s LED it’s all good ;) I understand it could kill my fixtures prematurely, but it’s a tradeoff im willing to take.

Yeah I've been running them lights locked at 70% max for years without issue. I've been thinking about buying a batch of Noctua fans. Altho some of those lights in need of fan are less than 20$ / the price of those fans 😂

@@wisico640 Yeah, I think that's going to be on the list with our 19x15W moving heads, and would do the same with these Lekos - track down the right Noctua fans (apparently a somewhat unusual size and 24V) or similar and retrofit them.
Ryland, do you have a list of all the lighting you use in your space as of now? (I know you guys are building a new with the nicer equipment) but we are trying to figure out what lights to use for what and your videos are our main guide haha! Would love a spreadsheet of your recommended equipment and its uses similar to how Churchfront has their recommended gear spreadsheet they give out

@@Dc0421 I’ve got a small list on the gear page of my website but I need to update it. The stage design video on my channel has links and a walkthrough as well. The list is a good idea.
Cool ❤
We’ve been looking for budget friendly moving gobo lights with the built in shapes
I’d be super interested in seeing their 700w framing shutter moving head! Thinking about getting a few of those in the future but would like to hear your opinion on them!

Oooooo do you have a link to those that you've seen?
How far will these throw? In the video you were testing at 20ft but I would like to know how far will the white light throw out before you start to see losing the range.

A long ways. For instance at 3:25 that is about 100 ft from that wall. It really depends on ambient light in the room.
