"Budget" FPV Frames have NEVER been BETTER! 🔥🔥

Ғылым және технология

NConstant Surprises coming from GEPRC, from their 3 inch HD Toothpick that blew my mind earlier this year to this $50 frame that has more machine work, design, and accessories than frames more than DOUBLE its price. I'm gonna do a quick review of the GEPRC Mark4 5 inch FPV Frame and talk about why I like it so much and things that I maybe don't like so much.
I will be giving away this frame plus the 6 and 7 inch versions on my Patreon plus other prizes this Sunday! You can join by clicking the link here: / maxbeamer and signing up!

    yes I like the motors on the roll axis to be further apart than on the pitch axis for more stability on roll (which this frame does) I just prefer a "wide x" instead of a "wide H" motor layout as the wide x has a bit more symmetry following the arms diagonally.

    Nice frame I wonder how easy the arms snap. And for some reason "budget frame" to me seems like it should be $20-25. Someone should make frames that don't come with the 3d printed parts, but give you .STL files etc. RDQ Source one is an actual budget basher. Thanks for vids.

  • @MaxBeamer

    @MaxBeamer

    3 жыл бұрын

    thx for the comment, I guess the term budget is relative but imo anything under 30 bucks is in the desperation category haha. you'll get a frame that consists of the bare minimum quality and parts requirements to get something in the air. I understand that for some that's all that matters but I don't mind paying an extra 20 bucks to improver the backbone of the drone

  • @fcass

    @fcass

    @@MaxBeamer Well I actually do own one of the 'desperation' RDQ/TBS Source One frames. It's a great frame for the < $30 price. I just 3D printed some nice DJI parts for it and I'm switching it over. It's a good 5mm frame with beefy arms and the replacement parts are dirt cheap. So I think it's perfect for beating on in a concrete environment. Inexpensive doesn't always mean cheap and if you think of the material costs it's a fair price with a small margin. I think $100-150 frames are a waste of money I'd rather spend on motors etc. But that's just me. The $55 for this frame is fair but those thin arms worry me. But like you, I enjoy a lightweight rig. I'm really surprised by the weight of some people's drones. I get 8-11.5(!) mins cruising and a solid 6-7 doing hard freestyle with my lighter drones . My friends heavy drones feel like a brick and get 4-4:30 flights. But now I'm putting air units in mine, we shall see...
