BuddyBoss Theme Review: Could It Be The Perfect Membership Site Theme?

When you're putting together a Wordpress-based membership site, there are already plenty of things to research and decide on. Choosing the theme seems like it might be the easy part. But...
It isn't. Trust me.
Most Wordpress themes out there just are not well suited for a membership site. The needs of a typical membership site go beyond the needs of a typical blog. You've got features such as:
- Displaying online courses in a beautiful way
- Course progress tracking
- Member community features
- Account management (like being able to edit member profile without going into the Wordpress admin panel)
The typical features of a membership site require different plug-ins, but they also require a theme that is built to make it all look good. Beyond looks, too, some themes literally empower some of the functionality we want.
When I was scoping out a total redo of my entire LAB setup, I came across the BuddyBoss platform and the BuddyBoss theme.
I liked what I saw. So much so, in fact, that I bought it. And today, THE LAB is powered by the BuddyBoss theme.
If you are looking to build (or, like me, re-build) your Wordpress-powered membership site, BuddyBoss could be right up your alley, too.
But, to help you find out, let me show you how BuddyBoss works in this BuddyBoss review. Let's dive in...

Thanks for the review! I would love to see an in-depth break down one day of the things you have in your buddypanel. Interesting to see what it can do beyond they out of the box stuff.

Very helpful review man! Thanks. Was wondering if buddyboss handles emails and payment processing, or do we need external platforms for those?

Good video ❤ I have an accounting website with over 100K users every month. I want to create a forum based community (focus is forum but need other expansions in future). Can I use MN or Circle, or Discourse? TIY

THANK you for a wonderful video. I have a content heavy free medical educational website for qualified doctors who are trying to specialise in family medicine. It is very popular. I want to now go to the next level and provide courses as well as community forums to support them with their exams, those who are pregnant whilst training, those who are from abroad but training here and so on. Should I create the courses and forums on my content heavy MAIN educational site or should I create a new website devoted just to forums and courses? The thing is, my current theme (Astra) works beautifully on my content heavy website. If i install buddyboss platform and then the buddy boss theme, it will override Astra wont it? Can you use two themes on a website for different sections? Or do you think having a separate website will just make it loads easier? ONE OTHER QUESTION....if that’s okay (might seem a bit silly, but I am a novice, so forgive me)... Where is all the stuff that users add to community forums stored? Is it on my website or buddyboss servers? And if someone uploads a copyright protected image (say), will i get into trouble - or doesn’t it matter because it’s only on. a closed forum, not the public? Hope that makes sense. Thanks again xxx

forgot to mention, the main site has a mega menu. So, if I did host this on my main site, how do i separate the menus?

Does it give you the optioon to cjstomise the url? It shows a localhost url . Can you customize the URL to your communitt name? Also, does it allow you to btand the entire website with tohr name instead of Buddy boss name? An example , can I change "Buddy panel"to my name +panel. The developer's name is all over on the site.

"Still" in existence? Buddyboss isn't old news. :) Go to their site and they have an entire showcase of sites using it.

I stopped at 3:48... to be completely honest, that styling looks extremely old. Just cant see how people would pay $300+ for a 'theme' that is the same for everybody! Sure u can change some colors via some color picker / CSS... but its still ALL basic looking.
