I hope that Buddy’s hand is making a full recovery after his horrible accident. That Red & White Cake certainly is “Old School”! I’m a professional pastry chef for nearly 40 years. Thank goodness, I haven’t had to make a “Bridge Fountain” squirting Pink Champagne since the late 80s.

It reminds me thru bck....i missed those awesome days decorating gigantic cakes with a fountain in it sorrounded with fresh flowers and handmade edible doves, cupids and all sorts of gumpaste flowers

I hear what everybody's saying how beautiful cakes they are and then there was all the comments that I agree with also that is fondant it's we ordered a cake. Rice Krispies not fondant and there's a little cake and the rest is fondant what a waste of x amount of money

Eh, those were awfully standard cakes. I'm surprised he hasn't taken on doing one of those giant castle wedding cakes. My favorite wedding cake of his is the one where they had to order real doves and tied a ribbon to them

@@mv-noc11 being an 80s trend doesn't actually make it tacky, the 80s trends actually are still used a lot in cake decorating today, some are just done better than others the fact it was done badly is what makes it tacky.

@@mv-noc11 ok your obviously not understanding what i say, your country would have used the 80s trends too, today those trends are just enhanced upon, its not that they arent being used they are just a better version. Also my point was not about the actual trend but the fact that it was carried out so badly it ruined the overall aesthetic of the final product. Have a wonderful day :)

The issue with the bridge cake is some of thr couples will be screwed over on why their cake is smaller than others, if your paying for a wedding cake it should be big but they get what they paid for and not being specific

The cake looks like 5 blocks of cheese, being that colour. And she hopes the guess aren't going pick out the centre piece cupcakes. Off cause they are, half of them will be gone when they sit down. The rest before the main meal cames out. The kids won't eat the meals because there full of cupcakes. Which means when photos are taken table by table, and there will be no cupcakes. Bad photos and meals not eaten. I've seen enough weddings to know. Bad idea.

Janvi Shah I remember watching the episode for that cake ages ago! I think that, at the time it was made (around 2009 or 2010, I think), it was a very “fashionable” sort of design for the couple; extravagant and borderline gaudy, and very “trying to stand out from the crowd” sort of look. But nowadays, I don’t think that sort of design works anymore lol. it didn’t age well. Buddy’s done a lot of cakes on and off the show, and majority-wise they look really good and are usually decorated traditionally with buttercream and sugar roses!

all of those cakes dosent look tasty...

that cake is menstruating. unappetizing.
