McGirt gave one of the best boxing lessons you can ever see here against Brown

I thought Tyson made a great commentator ... thanks for the upload

People assume he was all power and no substance. He was one of the more intelligent minds in the sport. People underestimate his ring smarts. His constant reference to the old school guys is kinda crazy. He was a history buff if you will quite knowledgeable about the history. That Tyson would have been unstoppable if he stayed hungry and with Rooney. He was a true lover of the sweet science.

A great fight but I thought Tyson was a terrible commentator although nowhere near as bad as the always useless Perchecko!
McGirt gave Brown a boxing lesson
Thank u for uploading this man..Two OUTSTANDING boxers. Simon brown was a brilliant boxer himself .one of my favourite...and look what Buddy McGirt did to him. He doesn't really get mentioned alot and it's almost criminal man. Just a great great technician..
Excellent performance by Buddy gave a hell of a boxing lesson to Brown.

This redeemed Buddy the master boxer puncher from the Meldrick Taylor fight
Watching Buddy now I can see why he was so great working with Arturo Gatti ! They blended so well together
You can tell those two clowns announcing the fight wanted Brown to win. Buddy won most of the rounds easily.
These are the type(caliber) of fighters that Bud Crawford has NEVER faced Gritty And Skilled and with💥...One of the reasons why I always think about what Larry Holmes once said .." Guy couldn't carry my Jockstrap!"
@dibyea2484

@Patrick Hausenfleck Yet, the Gritty and Skilled fighter you admire so much said in a interview Bud Crawford is the only fighter in this era that could fight in his era🤫🤔.; So , I'll continue to listen to the greats who actually know about boxing and not somebody who lives in their mom's basement🤣.

Wow Mike tyson did a great job commentating. He knows boxing and studies boxing and many of the old timers.

haha Did he have an insane left hook or what? Wow - Simon was a champ when I was fighting as an amateur and always tried to emulate that hook (nope -never did)
Слава Богу! Здравствуйте! Бадди, не только тренер, смотрю сам здорово дрался! Умно, красиво, не суеты не шелухи, редко бил, но метко! Спасибо!
Buddy McGirt is a grossly underrated boxer and Ferdie Pacheco sucks at calling fair fights. Mcgirt was a great boxer and he was robbed vs Pernell in the first fight.
@amck72

lol Buddy never got robbed vs Pernell. Whitaker gave him a spanking. There`s a detailed interview Buddy gave while in the gym and he said Pernell was killing him with bodyshots. James is not an underrated boxer. No one has ever questioned his boxing ability.

Yes, he really never got his due. The loss to Taylor was something he obviously got past, but think it was always an anchor. I know they say he didn't take him seriously and was not prepared but that was a thrashing. Kudos to Buddy for coming back the way he did though. A great fighter and a great career.
Buddy never fought this well again. Simon Brown was never the same after this fight either.

He beat Terry Norris after this fight. and the only reason he lost here was because of the weight.

Couldn't agree more. Even when you didn't see it immediately, it was a watershed moment for both fighters. Good call on that man
What a great fight! A real masterclass from the wonderful Buddy McGirt! Although I must say the commentators were absolutely terrible! They seemed to be watching a different fight to me - and the judges!
lol what was fredie Pacheco talking about
OMG Mike Tyson commentating! Very rare.
Styles make fights. Brown was at the top of his game. But he never faced a boxer with such precision as Buddy!!

Simon made 147 one time too many. If this fight took place even 3 pounds heavier, different story.
Absolute Classic.
見たくて見たくて仕方なかった試合🎉ありがとー😉👍️🎶
I'll never Forget when Simon Brown KO'd his Buddy Maurice The Thin Man Blocker. That was scary & Brown had Scary Power.
Great fight.
Two great fighters great fight this was true fighters not running around the ring true (MEN) fighting a gem of a fight for both slipping fainting head movement no backing up straight foward like FING Men should get everyone excited for boxing🥊 mills lane wish we could go back in time just look at these clean crisp punches

Movement and footwork isn't always running
@kufujitsu
2 жыл бұрын
@@onlyrog5 You're right. You use footwork to reset from a safe distance & create space for your shots - that said, Buddy McGirt was really good at stepping out of the range of Simon Brown's right hand.
Brown is telegraphing every punch.
Styles make fights , great watch
Buddy neutralizing hrs power
Good fight! ❤
Tyson is himself here ? The kind nice men he truly is Not something he was made to be
A boxing lesson by Dr. Mgirt🥴
McGirt moved better on his feet than Simon Brown. Brown's hands were fast but his feet were slow.
McGirt was poetry in motion here against a dangerous, powerful man in Simon Brown.
This was the Last %100 healthy Mcgirt . Before the Shoulder Surgeries Deteriorated his Famed Left Hook . Interesting Mcgirt still floored Whitaker and gave Whitaker all Pernell could handle over 24 rounds even though Mcgirt was physically never at his best after defeating Simon Brown .
It's been a tradition with this "No excuse " but 100 reasons why they lost.
Naaah Mike. I love you family. And my favorite fighter of all time but mcgirt was legitimately ahead at the very least about two rounds at that point in a fight
2:59 did he took a James Toney card in this fight lol ?
Boxing is shoot move get in position to hit opponents like buddy did
In my opinion it seemed like the commentators were for being bias for simon brown
I wonder why Tyson doesnt commentate on boxing today?
Sometimes I wonder if Im watching the same fight as the commentators. While it was not a blowout Buddy won this fight bu a fair margin.
