    It's hard to imagine that the big muskie was actually almost 2 times heavier than this dragline, even this one looks incredibly huge. Thanks for video

    To think....something like this is designed, drawn on thousands of pages of paper, parts sourced and procured, assembled, wired and made operational. Just an amazing piece of machinery.

    Thanks. This is most interesting. I didn't expect so many, relatively small, electric motors. They must have been for cooling the big motors, electrical cabinets, and such. I have often considered these huge, draglines and shovels as engineering wonders of the world, Impressive and fascinating.

    I wired one in 1969 And did elect work on the opera house Sidney.

    If there is any video that can do justice to the sheer size of these machines, it's this one. Maybe one day we'll get to see a similar video of an AC machine, really curious how these look on the inside without the motor/generator sets. ;-) Thanks for sharing mate!
