Makes the movie boring.

This was such a good movie, I thought it was an old movie, because they don't make good movies like this anymore. But then I saw the date 2021, and I was blown away. Wow, how wonderful to know that there are still those out there making intelligent movies of substance and depth!

The core conflict in this movie, between the Pawnee and white fur traders, seems to be entirely fiction, the Pawnee were a generally peaceful tribe, and were heavily involved in the fur trade, gaining dominance over other tribes by the guns, horses acquired. So I wouldn't call this an intelligent movie. There would have been no fur trade in any part of North America without gaining cooperation and trading with the local tribes, it's a dumb myth.

What threw me off was the fact he travels y torch light at night in the woods. Just doesn’t make sense.

Very interesting movie from the start to the finish!!.. Sometimes the movies like this, are more better than the big box office movies. Thanks for sharing this great movie. 🦅

@@danielcline7413 Yes, I agree. There's a way to build a fire which gives heat but almost no smoke; that's probably what I'd do. I think it's called a Dakota Fire Hole (?) I don't ever mind eating cold food, but I don't think I could survive nights without some form of extra heat. Even in this 21st century, if I'm sleeping outdoors, I have both of my dogs next to me under my Icelandic goat hide blanket. They're like heating pads 😄🐕🐕

Excellent movie! But it should have been called, "Don't go into the woods."

Well it shows what you can do with good actors , a story and good directing. A bigger budget would make for a better, effects and costumes and but not a better movie. Excellent work.

..good actors, the Kid sucked.

This is a top-notch independent film. The casting is spot on, and the acting is compelling. Production design, set decoration and design, scenography, properties, costumes, camera work, and directing are very well done. The whole production team, cast, and crew should be proud.

The BEST movie by far to be produced in the last several years. Surpassing all MCU and DC films. TPUs give this film 15/10 stars and highly recommend it. Def Oscar worthy material in every category. A+++++++ film and hoping for a sequal!!!

This is one helluva good movie. I was glued to this movie throughout right up to the end and I seldom watch a movie from beginning to the end without tasking a snack break or whatever. The soundtrack was equally awesome. I highly recommend this movie. This movie is one of those hidden gems.

I thought it would be better, you can fast forward allot as he walks around the woods for 2/3rds of the movie. I'd give it a 5 out of 10 stars. ::: Updated it might be more of a 6 or 7+ it was pretty cool movie. But you'll have to watch it for yourselves and see what you think!

This is a really good movie. I'm surprised I never heard of it before, and I highly recommend it. The cinematography and sound is first rate. I especially enjoyed the non-sentimental, plain talk, and straightforward acting style. If you liked the "revenant" this film is for you. The ending is a bit of a surprise, and the movie did not need the dream/ vision sequences. This is supposed to be a realistic /action adventure film. Many of the credits are suspicious and undeserved .

My take on the kid was that he was never there. It was the haunted woods tricking him. The woods wanted him to stay and when he finally reached the edge of the woods, he didn’t fight the kid, in reality he killed himself. Remember at the end of the movie that guy named Henry told the captain that the found his body on the trail near the woods and the boy was taken by the Ree?

The confused child. The adult's fatal mistake was on several occasions when he let the child make decisions in a dangerous environment. 1. Let the kid tell him that the west was correct, direction to walk, when he knew it was not. 2. At the end, having a conversation with a child instead of standing by his own common sense and effort to leave without the kid. 3. Finally, the adult actually takes on a fight with the kid, 6ft against 4ft....come on. (D Movie.)

And also a Samsung Galaxy Tab A tablet ...and I typed the stars on the tablet because the keyboard on the tablet has two layers ...one of two ...and then when I hit two of two the Stars pop up ...and that's how I type them! I hope you liked the movie and have a great weekend! Hardly anybody ever even responds to anything comment so I amI delighted to give you an answer! Thank you for your comment and I also have a service dog a German Shepherd named Baron who was born on Christmas Eve 2013 pretty good movie otherwise and I like interacting with people because this is my only social media Adventure. As far as the stars go I only have it on my tablet which is tablet a by Samsung my phone has no stars and neither does my computer

They made face paints out of blood and guts and berries and tree bark the indians figure if they worst the blood of the bigger baddest animals in the woods that they'd be feared by the other animals because of the smell and scents from those animals the other animals wouldn't come near them

I really enjoyed watching this movie. It was different and interesting. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

My question is when the kid pulled out his knife it was a small puny knife after he stabbed him when he pulls it out it looked like a huge knife wow what a messed up movie he was sent to find the captains grandson and he refused to go back and is letting demonic spirits get to him another thing doesn't make sense is the kid wanted him to stay with him out there but then said the woods told him a deal either his life or the guys life why didn't he just kill him from the start then if the woods told him to do it he had plenty of chances to do it earlier in the movie
