Bucking/Not Shifting 2003 Honda Accord - Code P2646 FIXED!

Phil fixes an issue with his Honda Accord where, under acceleration, it would not shift up unless the throttle was let go. Almost like rev limiting, but much before the rev limiter. But it was easily fixed with a $4 part and a little bit of cleaning!

Exelent video! You covered everything with great deatal, great camera work and easy to understand. I did have a problem that viewers should be aware of. I have a 2006 Accord 2.4 and their is a heat shield with two wire clamps connected to it. I makes it more difficult to remove. Beware and don't break a wire like I did trying to get them off. It was real fun soldering wires between the engine and firewall! Thank goodness it's not a v6.

Fantastic video! Was able to do it all myself, changed both gaskets, and it fixed the issue! The tensioner bolt at 2:54 was a pain to get to. Had to use a smaller ratchet and thinner socket since my impact socket and pro flex ratchet wouldn't fit in the space. Thanks, fellas!

It's possible that the oil pump you have isn't pumping oil well enough anymore and that's why you have the code. We didn't have a full on limp mode though, so that's totally a guess, and your problem could be unrelated to what we had.
