Congrats on the new Buck! I got a custom 112 last year. I chose the S30V with nickle but I chose the waterbuffalo horn handle. I work in logistics and have been very impressed with the knife.

I like that you're not one of the "trending" KZreadrs that doesn't always go with the "new and best" and goes with old classics still! Nice knife for sure!

Erica you and I have a very similar background when it comes to the father situation. As a child it is a very painful thing, but if you channel that pain properly you will become a much stronger adult and it seems like you have done that. Keep the great videos coming whether those be on this channel or when you start your new job on their channel. I had no idea I could custom order a buck and I am about to order one now.

I prefer to see the pins on the handle scales. The Buck 110 & 112 are super traditional knives and the visible pins are part of that tradition.

Nice Buck 112. Congrats on the knife, and it is a proper "tribute" to the beginning of your knife association (if not your Dad too). It is a heavier knife, but is built well and has a great grind.

I knew the original Mr. Lull in Hollis Apple farm and we Support Farmer Dave ! Down the road in town was Lock's Ice Cream he told me the story of how his grandfatther was the last guy to get scalped by Indians in Rye Harbor the other side of the Rye harbor fro Rt 1A There is one of those big brass plackards telling of grandfarther Lock got scalped by the Indians ! I have been to the Milford one also . I have a Victronox Swiss Army 7 Alox , that has a harvester blade on it there is also a Swiss Army 2 that also has the harvester blade and the regular Swiss Army blade 93 MM size Alox if you can find one try Germany

I had very bad experience with Case too, I have several Case knives in my collection (total over 160, 10 are Case) none of them was satisfying . I just few days ago received my custom Buck 110 in Ironwood, with all Nickel bolsters, pins finger grooves and mirror polished blade. Extremly well made. I am very pleased with the craftsmanship. This walnut wood looks very dark, I like it. Since the custom 110 was so great I am thinking of ordering a 112 custom with palm wood or buffalo horn ... thanks for the video!

I have the new Sport in s30v and OD Green Micarta. The overall build is excellent. I carried it for 33 straight days and the s30v held up great, better than any of my s30v Benchmades or Spydercos.

Beautiful! I have lots of knives from middle to high end plus a few custom 110’s, lately I have been enjoying the newer 110 in aluminum and Micarta - you get the 110 that you can clip in the pocket and it’s very light!

I've spent a few evenings playing around with the Buck custom builder, that's a nice setup you got. Looks like you lucked out getting good grinds. As for country of origin, most of the made-in-China Bucks that I've seen are way better ground than the made-in-USA ones. They're all sharp, but the USA ones are wonky and a pain to fix.

Nice story about your dad and how your knife story started Thanks for the warning about the Case Lannys Clip bc I almost bought one My son in law gave me my first 110 last year believe it or not and it is a Cadillac but I don’t carry it bc it’s a Cadillac lol and weighs three tons I’m carrying my Case Ebony Mako today that I bought from TSA Knives new old stock for $59 A new one lists for $109 just like your custom 112 I still want a 112 though I’m glad you like your custom bc I’m planning to order a 113 from them Love hearing your stories Sounds like you need to invest in a ball peen hammer a cold chisel and a punch for a tool belt to save your expensive knives

Check this. If you inadvertently squeeze the knife or bump the blade, can you get it to close too far and cause the edge near the tip to make contact with the frame? If so, it will dull that portion of the blade in routine use. I've seen far too many 100s and 112s that are like this.
