I admire the awards and their global success, but I'm here for the feel goods from their music and performances! Your point about "the right amount of fan" hits the nail on the head! BINGO DT! Every member is special in their own way, their own style of music aside from being BTS. Whenever each member promotes an album or single I always pre-order them whether it`s 1 02 or 3 different styles. It`s my way of supporting them and letting them know I appreciate them for who they are and their artistry. They still have so much to give us and it`s only fair we give them the space to mature and grow as adults as well as artists. I can only wish each and every one of them health, happiness and blessings in whatever they do in their lives.

When J Hope was on the show with Suga he said HE was the one that didn’t want to make a physical album of Jack in the Box and Suga basically did an I told you so, Army wants stuff to collect.

Так и ваши комментаторы, хоть вы и показали замечательное видео с разбором всех сольных проектов ребят, концепцию которых они сами хотели донести до арми, так вот, бесполезное это занятие, доказывать "фанатикам", что нет никакого ущемления компанией кого либо из мемберов. Таким людям хочется видеть в одном из ребят жертву, которую все страются обидеть и которую надо защищать, жалеть, оберегать. Хочется спросить таких фанатов: Уважаемые, а вы не хотите узнать у самого мембера, нужна ли ему ваша фанатичная жалость, которая только унижает артиста. Thank you for saying that the solo projects are separate from BTS's work! I see this come up so much with Jungkook lately. They say the music JK has been putting out isn't him or that it's not the message BTS has put out. That annoys me so much because it feels like a lot of fans want to keep the guys in this box which is so unfair because they deserve to have the liberty to express themselves. BTS is made up of 7 members so it's obvious they have to compromise when it comes to songs and not everyone's ideas will be put in. I remember on Station head someone told Taehyung they wished he had done a more upbeat song and his response was 'wait for 2025 when bts comes back' and I thought that was the perfect response. Fans really need to learn to appreciate their individuality and stop being so selfish. BTS will always be BTS so just let the guys have a chance to do their own thing. Sorry for going on a little rant lol this has been annoying me since this has been a reoccurring discourse on twitter and reddit.

Reading the comments from most solo stans in this thread just make me want to say boooo freakin’ hoooo. 😅

Fantastic explanation, it was missing for many, All the boys have done great jobs They are all masterpieces, in their personal style And as you say, there are 7 incredible and authentic ARTISTS I have also seen horrible comments, saying that they would not support them because they were sabotaging each other.It's ridiculous, because they have always supported each other and we see it in the documentaries and programs in which who have been present, keeping their mouths shut!!I am totally unconditional of BTS and totally a fan of the 7 Individual, I have a record for each day of the week, I love each one of them!!! Because it is the companies job to pay for promotion so people know that artists work is coming out. Making on to charts or wining awards don't always happen.

The company handles the business side, promoting solo projects to the audience. But for the members, it's about personal growth. Solo projects let them express themselves freely, grow as artists, and fulfill their creative desires, adding unique flavors to their collective journey with BTS.

Agree 100%! with you. All the solo projects are great..

Why do I compare it? Do you think vsuga jhope is less supported? Suga and RM collaborated with the most Western singers. V has appeared in a lot of programs and entertainment shows in Japan and Korea rather than overseas marketings. Jimin appeared on TV a lot when he was on LC. Rather, JK was 0 promotion in Korea and Japan. Hive assigned a solo in the fourth quarter, which was most disadvantageous to Jungkook, and then left it unattended for two years. He wouldn't have released a solo album without a scooter that recognized his star quality. It is wrong to refer to discrimination with a video made while keeping Jung Kook in check when releasing an album at the worst time.

Im not saying this is not true i understand your point. I will say is BTS cares about the art first & so should Army. We should respect their journeys & also stream because we vibe with music & their point. All of us are different audiences we do not all like the same thing so numbers do reflect that. But I think we should stop the whining & spread the love of BTS, in spreading the art it won't be neglect. ❤

Each BTS member showed their individual artistry in every way. I loved the differences and variety!!!! Criticism about what and how they showed their artistry is pointless.

I don't think that some fans understand what kind of power BTS have. Remember that they own shares in HYBE and practically built the new HYBE buildings with their earnings/revenues. Remember that some members said that even if they don't gel with certain BTS songs, they give it their all for the group. Each member followed their preferred genre of music for their solo and look at the variety that we got. ARMY's also have their preferences in music and biases. Even countries have genres of music that will do better in their domestic charts. Just because your biases didn't do well doesn't mean that they were overlooked. Unfortunately their style didn't work with some fans, or some fans just didn't bother unless it was their favourite. The renewed contracts was a perfect smash in the face to doubters and people/shippers who spread hate on other members if their favs don't do well.

You know what's the highlight is ? I didn't get time to watch most of their promotional interviews at all. I just directly jumped into their songs and have been streaming them non stop, hopefully I'll find some time to watch all their interviews as well. But at the end of the day what is important is that I love all of their music, I'm really not kidding when I say I got introduced to most of the genres including hip hop only after I started listening to BTS. It wasn't appealing to me before but after listening to their music all of a sudden it became sooo much familiar. I guess that's their ART . They are unique artist creating all their music very meticulously, I hope we all can enjoy them and travel with BTS (both as a group and as soloists) for a very very long period. 🥰💜

I wish more reactors would so it can be seen by as many as possible simply because this topic has been discussed and has gotten so out of control to the point of being ridiculous. The members have each said they are in control of the type of music and the direction for it, so I don’t understand why so many are going overboard with threats, crazy theories, protest trucks, etc. I love her vids because she’s not biased and uses facts to back up what she’s saying, now we just need video or a way to weed out the stupid cringey interview questions.

The company did no promo, the song was announced days b4, the song credits went to bts instead of jk, etc. Jk has been held back all these years as the backbone of their music. Fifa and the coordinators specifically said they went to hybe America and hybe to ask for jk. And those ministers corrected themselves since it was misconstrued

BoraCityMagazine is the TRUTH! She’s always so informative and insightful; she breaks it down, and tells it like it is! For any ARMY new or old that complains about promotions, BTS is not a monolith. They didn’t get to where they are by doing anything in just one way, they’ve experimented, tried new things, and grown as artists. That’s why they’re the biggest group in the world, so if that’s their approach to music, then their method of promotion is going to fit their projects. The whole “sabotage” theory is honestly laughable. Of course BigHit & HYBE would want BTS to sell as many albums as possible, that benefits them. Why would they limit any member’s project, knowing ARMY would buy it? Let’s all breathe, be rational, and know that the company, and the guys, are smart, and everything they do is intentional and well thought out WAY ahead of time. Stop complaining and let tge guys express themselves. They’ve proven thei talent for over 10 years now. Let them be artists and the recognition will come as it should…

Each member did exactly what THEY wanted to do! They are all different people. Some do not enjoy tons of promotions or touring alone.

I will not talk about favoritism in the company; we do not have enough information to draw conclusions. but favoritism among the army is obvious, and there would be no problem, it is normal to single out a certain person for yourself. the problem is that armys hate us like solo stans because we only support one member. but in essence, we differ only from real armys (OT7) in that we are not ready to stream songs, vote and buy albums of all members, and we say this directly. but we all understand that there are very few real OT7s, I rarely see them in our solo fan communities, but I am grateful that they exist and really try to support all the members (you guys are amaizing 💜💜💜), and they are friendly and happy that we can help one of the member together.

It is not right to say that V has 5 music videos and claim that this is a 'promo'. For Us is an edited version of 4 other music videos and the other music videos (except slow dancing) do not have a high budget. things that were easily pulled off, it was Taehyung who made it look rich. R&B is a music genre that appeals most to America, and this guy has no promos in America. Don't defend for the sake of defending. Both songs and music videos were released silently. Many people didn't even know when it came out. The man has no collabs at allt oo. It failed to climb the Billboard charts bc of because it conflicts with the Seven which is pop music with america promo. In addition, the company put Lavover on the Grammy nomination list as a pop album, and it will not even be able to compete in the R&B category...

the company did not necessarily put layover up as an rnb album, the academy is the one who ultimately places albums in genre categories and probably gave him the pop label because anything coming from a korean artist is k-pop to the west, no matter the language or genre. i distinctly remember a western artist being publicly pissed that their pop album wound up being placed in an rnb category by the academy because they are afro-american, so the academy separated them from white pop artists. also, stop being delusional. rnb is not america's favourite genre in any way, shape or form. it's hip hop (by specific artists) and mainstream explicit pop music like seven, 3d and whatnot. the music video strategy worked for how tae wanted to promote the songs, did you even watch the video? 4 mvs or 5 mvs, that's still A LOT. why would he have any collabs on this album with relatively short songs? we usually love when they don't do collabs anyway. all bts youtube videos get screwed by the algorithm because of the discrepancy in views of the different artists videos on hybe's channel and the fact they don't pay for ads to yt.

There is no requirement for R&B songs to have adlib and harmony, and there are a lot of R&B songs that do not have that way. Singularity is also an R&B song. Keep listening to American R&B songs pressed on Autotune. Not my jam.

I agree, for me as ARMY i am along for the ride. I am enjoying each of the membera solo projects and supporting all of them. Before i even started listening to BTS i listened to many genres. So all the different sounds the guys have with their solos have been so fun for me. But when it comes to who is being sabotaged or who is being treated unfair. I ignore all that. My trust is in the guys and what they have said and what they have said many times is that they had a lot of control of their albums and their promotion. What they are doing with their music was to show another side to them and their taste in music that they can't do as BTS. They have also said to trust them. So that is what i am doing and supporting them the best i can.

I am so happy for the guys. Their solos are amazing. I didn't cry and panic when they were going to do solo projects before military service. I knew they weren't breaking up. As long as they continue making solos AND BTS content I will be very happy. They are men and should be able to make whatever content they want. I support the group and I support them individually. They deserve all the best.

Disclaimer : This comment is quite long so if you don't like reading sorry x) I'm here a bit late but I'm glad some people understand that it makes no sense for Hybe/Bighit to sabotage BTS or any particular member. Firstly, because they are the ones who bring in the most money and HYBE is a corporation so what would have been the point of sabotaging the artists who are the most profitable? Secondly, they have always been free to do whatever they want. Of course they have certain obligations but what I mean is that from the beginning they are the ones who are masters of their music not the puppets. Bang PD has been there to monitor and encourage them, advise them, etc. But it's not the big bad wolf who wants to control BTS. People who complain about all this stuff are mainly solos and people who don't want to listen to them when they speak. If they complain again in the comments, it's because they don't want to listen to what is said in the video. In the end it's all a question of ego. I could, for example, complain that Jungkook couldn't release his mixtape JJK1 in 2019 because he had too much work for BTS. Which is not totally untrue given his role as a main vocalist but he said it himself in an interview on Weverse magazine in 2022, he wrote lots of songs that he deleted every time because that he was not satisfied. He's a perfectionist who doesn't believe in his talent and abilities despite the fact that he works super hard so he has skills and is super good at a whole bunch of things, especially in the world of music, audiovisual, visual arts and sport. He is an all-rounder artist: singer, dancer, rapper, songwriter, producer, director, photographer, videographer, painter, drawer, actor, photo model, etc. (not everything is official but you get the idea) The only thing that I think is really unfortunate is that he often puts others before himself but I can't change that. I'm just a fan who wants the best for his bias but I don't allow myself to say whatever I want... As I have been an ARMY since December 2023, I felt guilty at one point. I also read comments from people saying that Tae was being sabotaged, complaining that Jungkook was highlighted while the others weren't, that real ARMYs listened to all of their songs without exception, etc. On the other hand it allowed me to discover great songs/raps like for example 'Wild flowers', 'Agust D', 'Daydream', etc. So I could have missed them if I hadn't been curious but sorry there are some of their solo songs that I'm not a fan of. That doesn't mean I don't deserve to be an ARMY, that I'm a solo stan, or that I don't support them individually. I've listened their songs, even several times, but I can't get along with certain songs and I think that's normal and healthy, we don't have to like all their songs without exception. It would also be hypocritical of me to say that I like them and then never listen to them. Then when I started watching Boracity's videos, I felt a relief because she herself says that she doesn't particularly like certain songs and that's okay. It allows me to take a step back on several things. I feel less like a bad person... I know this will upset some people but for example I'm not really into Namjoon's new album. I really liked Indigo but RPWP is a style that suits me less, maybe by listening to the songs again I will appreciate them more but for the moment it's not really my cup of tea. By saying that I still feel guilty because it gives the impression that I don't support him, when it's quite the opposite but as was said in the video and as you said, they express what they want to express individually so it touches the public who is receptive to this kind of music. It's not for everyone and that's okay. I agree that many seem more interested in numbers than music and artists. And at one point I also said to myself "why does this MV have more views than this one?", "why is this song streamed much less than this one?", etc. Then I understood that the songs that are streamed the most are those that have an MV and that are performed during TV shows, awards shows, etc. Yes, it's satisfying to know that they succeed, that they get awards, that they have so many millions/billions of views for their MVs but that's really not the most important thing. All I hope as a fan is that when they'll come back they'll still enjoy making music as much as before and that they will not get lost along the way, that they will not lose their identity. (this is what scares me the most)

Variety is the spice of life..I love all the BTS members who are talented for many reasons..they killed every type of music they performed...can you imagine if every member promote their albums in the same monotonous way.. I simply loved all of them ..very good sharing in this ‘about time’ video ..looking forward to the 7 when they gather again! ARMY must be appreciative n must keep supporting them..

On the other hand, them capturing different audiences, different platforms will help them when they will do their comeback. Imagine you are a hiphop fan but havent heard jhope not until lollapalooza, or enjoying jack harlow but no idea about jungkook.. this is a winwin for the boys. They have a great strategic team i might say. They have different promotions, sure, but honestly we dont know what plans they’ve come up with behind those hybe doors. Nevertheless, all are doing great with their music. Let us all support them. Stream their songs and be positive!!💜

I think it is a beautiful gift that each of the members delight us with their projects, I love each of the songs they have done individually, even 3D, although I have my opinions with the collaboration, I love that each of them can express what they want. They were. They were just not what YOU wanted. Look and try to understand what boracity is describing first before you complain. Remixes work especially for pop songs - which is why they got them - and must be wanted by the member - so they were a choice made by Jimin and Jungkook for their music. The other members thought their music was perfect the way it is. Watch some more of boracity magazine's video essays. She explains the music industry well. In this one pay more attention to the part in Jimin's section where she spoke about his "misstake" not to buy streams. The video that is from is more complex but also fits with your question: these playlists have to be bought into. If the R'n'B playlist chooses to accept Taehyung's music on their list it is a choice made by them - but the most popular playlists? have to be paied for. You really don't want to know how many years it took for a rapline member to finally be on a Hiphop playlist not only a K-pop playlist. Misstakes happen. That is life. And one person forgetting does not negate all the others who didn't. But with his album Taehyung has a chance for a more longtime success album not the fast paced/short one of a lot of Pop albums. The sales were not "delayed". Taehyung's C_bar f* uped and ordered 800 000 albums as a mass (different plattforms) pretty much last minute which was not what those plattforms expected/had stocked for). The result was predectiable and meant that the numbers did not immidetly counted as only albums actually send out count. Albums downgraded in numbers visibly this year: Jimin, Taehyung, Seventeen, TXT but also Exo, aespa, Stray Kids etc. Newest BS - far worse than anything I have named: NCT 127 (?) They sold a little over 250 000 albums in their first 3 days. We are talking about a group that should have sold 1 million at the lowest probably more at 1,5 or even 2 million. Fans believe it is because albums are not stocked. But this is very extrem. It may just not be possible to produce the numbers of album the fans want. But I do not see any problem when ordering since there are many places you CAN order from other than over weverse.

That's all paid for media hype and they don't do that not as artists and not as a company. As for getting into different music Genre lists that take's time and has nothing to do with the company that's all down to the streaming site management time. I remember how long it took for the Rap line to be seen as being worthy of being put onto the correct catargory on Spotify. Spotify are not that great when it come's to getting albums and individual songs and artist in the correct catagories. Never have been and some how I don't seen that changing much. There's really nothing an artist or artist company can do about that problem either.

JK had that problem too... less radio plays, delayed cd release... frozen youtube views...and missing spotify streams... Good thing ARMY doesn't stop viewing and streaming...
