BTS return to the United Nations | UNICEF
UNICEF supporters and global superstars BTS appeared at the 75th session of the United Nations General Assembly with a heartfelt message to young people struggling to cope during the COVID-19 pandemic. From feeling alone to feeling hopeless, the K-Pop band shared details of their own personal challenges since the pandemic started more than nine months ago. “COVID-19 was beyond my imagination. Our world tour was canceled, all our plans went awry, and I became alone. I looked up but couldn’t see the stars at night,” said the band’s leader RM at the event focused on protecting future generations. "If our voices can give strength to people, then that’s what we want and that’s what we’ll keep on doing," band member Jung Kook added.
BTS were joined by UNICEF Executive Director Henrietta Fore who shared a message of solidarity and hope with young people. “What seemed normal and familiar is now strange and new,” Fore said. “Things might not feel right now, but we can use this time to think about how we can reimagine and build a better world. You are not alone.”
BTS returned to the UN General Assembly two years after delivering a viral speech to fans and world leaders in support of their LOVE MYSELF campaign, which has raised over $2 million for UNICEF and helped children and young people all over the world spread love and kindness.

In 2018 they have delivered the speech first time in UNICEF. It was love yourself campaign.. In that they have said "LOVE YOURSELF , SPEAK YOURSELF" and the next time was 2020 . It was their 2nd time addressing in UNICEF.. so at this time they said "LIFE GOES ON , LET'S LIVE ON"

To be honest, I started listening to BTS DURING my hard time in pandemic, and I am grateful for the time I had with myself even if there are hundreds of moments to regret. I am thankful for the moments I had with myself and my heart . I grateful for I discovered my unknown side of life.

Proud ARMY here - I suspect I’m not the only one who felt a bit teary watching this. I love the theme throughout about the stars and the sky. When I take-off in a plane on a cloudy day I often think as the plane emerges from the clouds into the sunshine that it’s a good analogy for life. Even when your world looks grey, know that if you are just able to change your perspective you will see that the sun is still shining. We all need hope at the moment, and we need reminders that as global citizens we’re all in this together. Thanks for giving us both BTS 💜

Nam Joon is more than just BTS's member's leader but all of A.R.M.Y too since we listen and support him the most everytime. I see him more than a presidential leader but a world leader who will bridge most humans together with his wise words and actions. We are going to be the one who'll live on this planet and it's our choice to make it worse or make it better. I urge us all to find our dreams, that'll do something better to this Earth. I want us all to work together in this mess disregarding any kind of diversity. I want us to be conscious about climate change, it's becoming too late. I want us to realize that there's no use of blaming any other human or thing for the consequences. But that'll only be possible if we found inner peace, by loving and embracing who we are as a human. One important life lesson I've learned after I discovered BTS this year: if you have no idea about someone and they're popular, you should never judge unless you have checked them out for yourself. If you don't want to check them out, then just don't comment and look the other way, cos saying judgmental things about someone you have no f*king clue about is just plain ignorant and conceited. This is true for anything and anyone, not just only for BTS.

BTS members spoke well. The youngest member, Jungkook words are very impressive for a young adult of 23. Jungkook seems the only one here not doubting future in the fear of the pandemic and it shows his high EQ. His view is always different, he is speaking more for the group. Such a selfless soul, he see beyond himself, the reflection that RM refers to "let our faces be the light ". "One night we were working together, RM said he could not see the stars anymore, but I saw my face reflected in the window, i saw all of our faces. Our songs became the stories we wanted to tell each others. We lived in uncertainty, but really, nothing has changed, If there is something I can do, if our voices can give strength to people then that is what we want and that is what we'll keep on doing." He is not onlya multi talented artist, he is a philosopher and he truly is the one who will survive on an isolated island as Army voted.

I am soo proud of BTS. Because of BTS i am still alive. History will always remember BTS. I am only 13 and because of some reasons I was depressed. They save me from depression and commit something bad. Because of BTS i learnt love myself and accepted who I am . Because of them i am keep going for my dream. Thanks BTS😭💜

You are great. Even depressed you didn't lose your hope and kept going. You learned to love yourself and accepted yourself. And that's the greatest thing. And also you are chasing your dream. Proud of you 💜💜
