A DIY adjustable wrench is a handy tool that can be made with minimal materials and tools. In this DIY video, we will show you how to make your own adjustable wrench from scratch. We will be using a piece of flat steel bar, a hacksaw, a metal file, a drill, and some basic hand tools.
We will start by cutting the steel bar to the desired length using the hacksaw. Next, we will mark the jaw positions and drill holes for the adjustment screw. We will then file the jaws to their final shape and size, ensuring that they are smooth and even to provide a secure grip on the fasteners without damaging them.
We will also file a slot in one of the jaws which will allow us to adjust the width of the jaws to fit a variety of sizes of fasteners. This is a crucial step that ensures that our wrench can be used on multiple types of bolts and nuts.
It's important to note that this DIY project requires some basic metalworking skills, knowledge of hand tools and the proper use of them. The end result is a custom-made adjustable wrench that can be used for a variety of tasks, and it is a cost-effective way to obtain an adjustable wrench without buying one.
In this video, we will walk you through the steps, tips and tricks of building your own adjustable wrench, and also give you some ideas for customizing it to suit your needs. With this DIY adjustable wrench, you will be able to tackle a variety of projects and fix things around the house.

That's eff'n great, no doubt a commercial product could be slimmed down some so it would fit in tighter places, and maybe it could have a spring assist or even better, a secondary lock on one side of the handles, like a Vise-Grip. This young man has a great concept here and probably more than one idea he's thought about.

I like the idea and construction but wouldn't work for many situations so you still need all those other spanners - it's a good addition though. What percentage of bolts is this going to fit on given the clearance needed to get it over the bolt and then to rotate it enough. One of your examples shows you loosening one but their is another bolt nearby that it wouldn't be useful for.

Constructive criticism here. The in-video sponsor advertisement was way too long. For me the fabrication was painful to watch. Great job, but this was a job for a laser cutter. I would recommend using screws the correct length. With nylon lock nuts, otherwise, this will eventually fall apart.
