If you're punching with bare knuckles it's not the same as boxing. Instead of slipping a punch, just tilt your head and let them break their hand on your skull bone. Pick your hard punches to the head very carefully; I'd go to the body hard.

Your definitely not lacking common sense. I agree completely. This is far from safe or healthy. And the money isn't enough to be worth it. Just to beable to say, "I'm a fighter in a low class fight circuit". It's completely stupid. But, it entertains most. So, I can't complain to much.

@Kevin Kong ... Congratulations Kevin. Not many people noticed how Harris got the knockout, with his subtle use of his left hand to pull down his opponent's left hand guard and follow instantly with a devastating, unimpeded, fight ending right cross. ... Back in the 70s, I trained rigorously in Burmese Bando here in the States. I instinctively developed that same technique Harris used for this knockout. Within my Bando club, many of us fought full contact kick boxing with 16 oz boxing gloves. None of the fighters in my club could develop a defense for my same combination Harris performed perfectly in this bare knuckle fight. ... I've always been disappointed that you don't see that subtle combination used more often by MMA and UFC fighters. It's instinctive and nearly unstoppable. ... In open hand kumite, you can actually hook your opponent's left hand guard with your left hand and pull him into the right cross for even more impact.

  • @DougieLink

@@martinmiller1087 It is harder to do that with UFC rules , as it is hard not to grab or look like you are grabbing the gloves which is against the UFC rules. But yeah in bare knuckle fighting and even traditional martial arts pulling the guard down is an often used tactic."breaking the guard" A great knock out!
