Brutal Doom 64 v2 666 Unmaker laser and tactical unmaker alt fire revisions

Updated the laser projectile for the regular unmaker laser attack. The beam now looks closer to how the laser should look in Doom 64.
The tactical unmaker alt attack has been changed. It too now has a laser looking projectile. Also it's now a freezing attack. This should give a new meaning to "hell freezing over" :)

    The classical unmaker still behaves as regular i.e. powering up to fire a rapid fire triple laser with the 3 demon keys. The tactical unmaker still needs powering up but it is quite a different weapon. After picking up the tactical unmaker, zombies will drop souls on death which serve as ammo for the primary attack. After picking up the 3 main demon keys, demons will drop demonic essence which serve as ammo for the alt fire attack. For both the classical and tactical unmaker There are 2 extra demon keys which enable the unmaker special modes (levitation and time stop/berserk). Make sure you enable the option in "BD64 Options" so the demon keys can randomly spawn alongside regular powerups.

    If you stand point blank to a Pain Elemental it will spawn Lost Souls normally but it’s not like this in regular Doom 64. This is from the Doom wiki on the Doom 64 Pain Elemental. Unlike other versions of the game, standing at point-blank range to prevent it from spawning Lost Souls is not a viable option; each Lost Soul that fails to materialize will cause an explosion dealing 128 blast damage, the same as an exploding barrel (this makes the Pain Elemental very effective at monster infighting as well). This extends to the Lost Souls it spawns during its death sequence as well, so getting some amount of distance is highly recommended.

    I am not going to be able to code BD64 exactly like Doom64. This is a Doom/Doom 2 mod so I am constrained to the decorate actions that are Zandronum compatible.

    Hello Steven, a question, I wanted to do a one-year special of BD64 v2 666, I wanted it to be a surprise but I don't know when the first beta of your mod came out lol. So can you tell me when it came out?

    It's hard to say. The project was uploaded to GitHub about 2 years ago now. An official beta was never released so it's more of a rolling beta until I finalise the mod for a proper release. I am hoping to set up a new ModDB page in the near future so I can upload a more static release there. This special sounds interesting. I am not sure if I should ask questions or wait for the surprise.

    Could link belts be added to the Chaingun casings when firing, like it is in regular BD?

    Even though this weapon is labelled as a Chaingun, it's really a minigun weapon. I have been looking into how miniguns are fed. I read that not all miniguns have the metal belt links. I am no expert though.

    Oooooo how cool does that mean there will be a totally separate weapon to freeze? Is it in the addons section? And how can I get that shot?

    This is part of the main mod. To access the ammo for the tactical unmaker alt fire you need the first 3 demon keys. Then demons will start dropping demonic essence which is ammo for the freeze attack.

    @@J-Salazar, no there is an inbuilt freeze death function in Zandronum/GZDoom. To trigger the ice death state for monsters you just need to give a projectile the damagetype "ice".

    The Stalker missiles are not shootable. The Nightcrawler has no eyeball for rocket death.

    Done and done. The Mancubus projectiles are now also shootable with the option.
