This is one of the most beautiful world war II romance movies that i've watched! It took me a while to make this video because I had no Idea what song would fit nicely in it but fortunately I found it!
The movie is based on a novel written by by Irène Némirovsky, a French writer of Ukrainian-Jewish origin. In July 1942, having just completed the first two of the series, Némirovsky was arrested as a Jew and detained at Pithiviers and then Auschwitz, where she was murdered, a victim of the Holocaust. The notebook containing the two novels was preserved by her daughters but not examined until 1998. They were published in a single volume entitled Suite française in 2004.

"When do you see me?" OMG! He just applied all the emotion and depth of longing in his character's words. A great movie is one thing. But it takes great actors to bring the story to life, Matthias and Michelle are truly fantastic.

Enfaite ils ya un truc que je n'arrive pas à comprendre quand la madame sur gi elle dit à ca propre fille d'arrêter ca relation avec cette oficier Allemand ? mais quand l'officier Allemand embrasse ca propre fille ont très bien que il l'aime trop en amour et que à la fin elle lui dit ont doit arrêter notre relation est bah l'officier Allemand et très malheureux ca le fait beaucoup souffrir et ca ce vois dans con regard le pauvre il me fait trop de peine

His performance in A Little Chaos with Kate Winslet is remarkable. That's when I fell in love with this guy as an actor.

I would've said back to him, "I'd recognize you anywhere ."💖💗😘..even if he changed in character or appearance, (even for the better as he's implying?),the beautiful and kind man that she loved and no war/bad situation could change completely, would remain, and one can always recognize one's heart. 💝

@@baridharee9669 that he wouldn't be a soldier when they met again. Obviously their hearts would recognize each other when that happened, even if he wasn't a solider anymore.

I've always loved fan videos, and one like this is the reason why. Watching this lead me to watching the movie. Both are exquisitely done, beautifully acted and mesmerising. Beautiful and Tragic. Typical for these movies.
A sad sad movie. Tragic ending. I wished the ending made different by Nemirovsky. Or atleast the actors ended up together in real life. The pair is match made in heaven.
