I would've said back to him "I'd recognize you anywhere."...💝...Even if he changed in character/appearance, even for the better (as he's implying?), the beautiful and kind man that he was, that was so dear to her heart, that no war/bad situation could change completely, that she loved, would remain, and one can always recognize one's heart. 😘💖💗❤

Acabo de ver la película y la amé. No suelen gustarme mucho las pelis románticas, pero ésta es hermosa y el Teniente Bruno es el hombre perfecto. Se nota lo profundamente enamorado que ésta de Lucille, todo lo que hace por ella, todo lo que hace para que ella no lo rechace, para pasar tiempo junto a ella y ayudarla a pesar de que él es un oficial Nazi de alto rango. Y la forma en que él la mira es hermosa. De verdad, vean esta película es preciosa al igual que éste gran video!!

This story is heartbreaking but I seemed to be drawn back every time I see it. I pray these two can be united once again in this life time or latter. J'ai vu le film récemment et j'en suis encore bouleversée...on ne pouvait pas mieux trouver que Matthias et Michelle : leurs regards et leurs silences sont d'une grande intensité!! I am drawn back to this video with the wonderful music. If you have been fortunate enough to have experienced true love in your lifetime, you are blessed. I there are so many factors in life that step in and tear the lovers apart, like WW II in this story. On another level I hope they are reunited in heaven, or in another lifetime. Ho visto il film per caso, l ho rivisto mi ha colpito pet l intensità delle situazioni proposte. Ognuna di queste attraverso i personaggi cosi ben interpretati racconta del uomo dei suoi sentimenti nobili come delle sue meschinità fino alla perversione morale, racconta di una società umana dove la disuguaglianza fra il povero e il ricco fa la diffetenza e permane anche oggi seppur in una situazione non così tragica ma comunque come una grave colpa. È un film complesso forse più di quello che sembrerebbe a una prima visione. Leggerò il libro da cui è yratto il film. Complimenti al regista, agli attori comprimari e non che mi hanno profondamente emozionato

Effectivement c'est un film particulier (on parle quand même d'une histoire d'amour avec un Nazi après tout, mais quand on sait que cela à été écrit par une femme juive à l'époque de la Seconde Guerre Mondiale, c'est encore plus intéressant en fait), mais vraiment très très beau, avec une belle esthétique et un très beau couple

je suis sous le charme de cette vidéo, vraiment sous le charme ! tu ne peux pas savoir à quel point je suis heureuse de te voir éditer ce film, le livre dont il est adapté est l'un de mes favoris ! ta vidéo est tellement jolie et a un côté assez...poétique et calme avec cette chanson ! tu retranscris à merveille la relation de bruno et lucille avec ses hauts et ses bas ainsi que son côté impossible en raison du contexte ; non vraiment tu n'aurais pas pu créer de vidéo plus parfaite que celle-ci pour eux. ton travail est magnifique, magnifique et magnifique !

If you liked Suite Francaise I recommend you some others with a very similar stories you might like: LORE, Franz+Polina, The exception, Where hands touch. Maybe some day you even want to make a video of some of them if you really like :)

😅É sempre assim. Já fizeram muitos filmes sobre o mesmo tema. Uma mulher francesa de (somente aparente) boa reputação, mal casada (como se houvesse bons casamentos...) é mostrada no filme ansiosa pela volta (ou não) do marido, é educadamente assediada por um jovem e bonito oficial alemão (como se todos os oficiais alemães fossem bonitos e justamente o mais improvável educado e bonito oficial alemão, e não um monstro, aparecesse no pedaço), e depois de muito resistir (muito?) acaba se apaixonando perdidamente. No pós-guerra mulheres como essa, traidoras dos maridos e da pátria, foram execradas, apanharam nas ruas, tiveram seus cabelos cortados, foram canceladas, e os bonitões alemães não estavam mais lá para defendê-las (e será que as defenderiam?)

Exactly! (Sorry I'm answering you in English because I'm more sure what I'm going to tell you than in Portuguese), we often forget that, but the vast majority of the Nazis were only soldiers who obeyed orders. It's also good to remember it with this type of film!

I don't think that's the point of these films, no, especially since this film is an adaptation of a book written by a Jewish woman who lived through WWII. There is obviously no question of forgetting what the Nazis did. But i's only a film to enjoy, a fiction, even if we do not know to what extent the author was inspired by her own experience to write this.

LOVE has nothing to do with regional or globel conflicts----mostly the WOMAN has to PAY--with a BABY in her belly----remember it--when you touch a girl/ woman you want--thx rollf
