@@deborahlee9355 I love "The Silence of the Sea" - it's the purest love story i have ever watched, without any physical contact between the couple and not even any conversation until the very last scene, only one word uttered by Jean to Werner. It was really heart breaking. I am so in love with The Silence of the Sea.

Watched this movie 5 times. It literally made my heart ache. One cannot help who they love. So many broken hearts during war. I'm 73 and age does not make one to forget the happiness and hurt.

This movie left me sleepless for days! So many type of emotions, love, hatred, faith, betrayals. But the one, that really has touched me is the longing after a life where man can remain human even in the most difficult circumstances.

This movie hurts me, it leaves à black hole in my chest every time i watch, i cry to the idea of what Bruno must have felt when she hit the road, the music is beautifully painful, i cant get over this, im so broke

"dislike" people are so heartless. This music is so beautiful. This love story is so heartbreaking. War was the nightmare for lovers 💔

Did you know that the woman that wrote this story was Jewish? Her children found her novel many years after she had died. It is a beautiful love story. I wish they had had a sequel where they run into each other after the war was over...

the number of french women who fell in love with german soldiers in the WWII is just incredible, in the times of war french say love, only love matters

They both acted so brilliantly in this movie. I don't have words to explain. Matthias Schoenaert is very versatile actor.All movie he did so far he performed so well. I loved your music with picture of them is very well coordinated.

OMG. The movie, the piano piece and the chemistry between these two! Wow, you can't help but fall in love and feel their pain. She loved him so much that she didn't kiss him goodbye:( she probably knew, she couldn't leave, if she did. He is such a brilliant actor! I am going to watch this many times. I am sure of it. @@renees1922 She didn’t have to, he knew and she knew that they both loved one another, their actions spoke. Love has to be more than words, I’m sure Gaston has told her he loved her, I don’t know but by his actions, the lies and betrayal that was going on behind her back was just opposite of Love, his actions didn’t speak of Love. Someone can say they love someone but that doesn’t necessarily mean they do, they may think it at the time but not necessarily be sure. Her last conversation with, she more or less declared that she loved. Everyone thinks the words,” I Love You.” Have to be said to prove that they loved one another, although them words are very important, they don’t mean anything if the actions don’t line or outweigh it. Their actions did prove their love, I didn’t have to hear it.

This movie left me feeling empty for a whole week after watching it.I hope with all my heart that Bruno and Lucile did eventually find each other after the war, and that he never actually died. Thank you for this gorgeous tribute to these beautiful lovers

Yo para no ponerme mal me imagino un final parecido al del titanic ella subiendo en las escaleras y el esperandola, imagínate después de la guerra el llega a su casa y ella viniendo de hacer las copras, los dos se miran el se saca la gorra y ella sonríe y ahí termina

Love is so pure for those souls who really feel it. They had to go through such circumstances to meet but if you think twice it there wasn't a war were they destined to meet and had such an epic feeling. He died as many war captives. He even didn't have a chance to look for her. It is heartbreaking story. Maybe they are destined to meet in another life.

Suite Française is such a perfect movie. The cinematography, musics, chemistry, acting, script, and scenes is so perfect. And the story is still realistic for many people because a lot of people still fell in love with wrong person and wrong time, even I've experienced it.

Sometimes we don’t get to enjoy the beautiful things in life because they are not meant to be. Here in this mortal journey we learn both joy and sorrow. 😢

Beauty and ugliness are both within humans, no one is perfect, but true beauty is the beauty of the soul.I adore this movie

I've watched this when I was 12, then watched again when I was 17. I know I was young, but it introduced me to the world of reality, the past. It changed my life.

One can never regret a movie with Mathias in it.. ❤

This music takes me to another world

I fell in love with the characters...I cant described the feelings after I watched it. How I wish theyve been together. 😭

In 65 years of enjoying film music including that by Miklos, Dimitri, Elmer, John B, John W, Georges and the greatest of all, Ennio, I can't think of a more haunting experience than listening to this exquisite score from this heartbreakingly beautiful film. It's in my head every day.

How is it possible to get goosebumps each time u listen to this? Hats off to the composer...

-No tengo nada en común con esos hombres. -Con la única persona que tengo algo en común ¡ERES TÚ!

Muy bella pero muy triste, al final se te queda un vacío en el corazón, esa despedida final te parte el alma y te humedece la mirada!!, una historia tan hermosa merecía un mejor desenlace......pero la vida en tiempo de guerra no es precisamente hermosa y creo refleja un poco eso esta magnífica película.

Just what I said!!! Soulmates, it must be so nice to find yourself IN another person, who can be to and for you what you are to them, and have been to everyone else (kind etc)..they say opposites attract but it seems just magical and a real soulmate to find YOURSELF in someone. YESS, DOES BRUNO EXIST ??! He's perfect 😍

So beautifully written, acted and the music spoke volumes. I know that this is a book/movie, but I truly believe what cannot be said with words, can be said with a look and music. Some people get married and love their partners but some are lucky enough to meet their soul mates 💕 if that's so, time and space never really part you.

Listening over and over again. Great music. It makes me fall into meditative state.
