In Florida in 2021, where we couldn't breathe the air for several days because of toxic discharge from a fertilizer plant (which we were assured was NOT the cause!), allowed to pollute so a few could make a LOT of money, all I could think of was the line, "Where are the strong? Nick Lowe tells the story that he was desperate to write his first song but every time he did so he'd play it and realise that he'd just re-written a Dylan one or a Lennon one or whatever. Then one day he came up with this and it slowly dawned on him that he couldn't remember who originally did it and realised that he'd acheived his aim. Yes this was his first.

Okay, just a few comments. Max Weinberg is "the glue guy" to use Coach Self's term. Probably the best drummer in Rock n Roll. One of the best songs ever.

Nick Lowe put it out as the B side of the single "American Squirm" with Elvis Costello on vocals and a band part-Rockpile, part-Attractions. Another winner from Basher.
